Forrest Griffin just posted a pic of his knee after surgery....damn. Ive had my fair amount of work done...but im curious why they had to make so many incisions into his knee? I thought it was a torn MCL or something

interesting...i need to a do a little bit of research on what he had to have done

Here the pics...its graphic just for warning

EDIT:

"Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday to repair damage to his ACL and MCL."

makes a little more sense. Wouldnt be surprised if he just retires...he was on the verge of it anyway...this is going to take a year to get back to 100%. Its very possible, just gonna take time

medicine is great, he should be 100% if he wants to come back

I know a lot of soccer players who have gone through similar procedures and Forrest's looks similar to about the worst I saw, most guys were much cleaner with 2-3 incisions. The extra incisions are from cartilage removal, the amount of cartilage damage would really be indicative of how well he could recover. The one I saw that looked similar to Forrest's was one where nearly the entire meniscus was removed leaving the knee virtually bone on bone and the person with a permanent limp and an artificial knee in the future.

Surprised Bellator released Zach Makovsky, especially since he was one of the better fighters they had. He is small for the BW division and it might be a blessing in disguise. He should drop to flyweight and try to head to the UFC.

Jorge Masvidal is out of his fight with Pat Healy due to injury.

More Strikeforce fighters head over to the UFC as Bobby Green faces Jakob Volkman and Caros Fodor takes on Sam Stout.

I wrote up a quick article looking at Bellators move to Spike next year, check it out here Coli News Bellator Ready To Make An Impact on Spike - Coli News

Ouch.

I had my ACL/MCL fixed a couple years ago and I have 3 scars, only one of them is even obviously noticeable. They musta had to do some really invasive work on him to look like that. Damn.

Dude comes off like he is so checked out of fighting I doubt he'd "want" to come back. Lotta wolves would be waiting at his door to gain fame off his name for sure

English welterweight Paul Daley has been removed from Bellator MMA's upcoming Season 8 170-pound tournament, according to a representative for the promotion.
Daley, 29, is barred from entering the U.S. after being charged with assault stemming from a bar fight, the promotion said. He faces up to two years in prison.

:snoop:

Cage Contender have announced the signing of 30-12-2 UFC veteran, Paul “Semtex” Daley.

Daley is set to headline Cage Contender 16 in Dublin, Ireland on 23rd February, on what is already a stacked card, with the likes of Arni Isaksson facing Ali Arish and Chris Stringer fighting for TUF champion Norman Parke’s old belt.

Although an opponent is yet to be announced, Cage Contender owner John Ferguson has assured us we won’t be disappointed, as they continue to go from strength to strength

yooo...Chael Sonnen is trippin. listen to him talk about Paquiao Marquez:

"Pacquiao got hit by a guy who miraculously went through puberty a second time at 39 years old. He got hit by a guy that showed up with more power at 39 than he had in any of the previous fights. He had a 6 pack that he never had before.

There's two tests that you have, Jim. You've got the pee test, but you've also got the visual test. When you take your robe off and you get in the ring that's your first test. And to act as if all of us didn't go, "Something's going on there."

No, I haven't said that (he's on PEDs), but I sure came close, didn't I? I know that Freddy Roach did. I know Freddy Roach said, "If that body's clean, I kiss your ass." But you gotta understand, all substances aren't illegal. Did he take something? Sure, he did. Did he take something illegal? Well, according to the test, no.

I just know you don't go through puberty twice and I'll leave it at that."

how the fukk is this guy talkin like this?

"It's a business and I understand what [Anderson Silva's camp] is doing so I don't take it personal. It's just, I put a lot of work in and my goal is to be champion, and I know I can beat Anderson Silva and I know I did enough work to get that fight. I know I'm a terrible, terrible match up for him. If I get my hands on Anderson Silva it's game over. I'm not kidding. If I get on top of him like Chael Sonnen got on top of him, I really believe in myself, I'm really going to finish the fight... I think I have the tools to beat him. I'm younger, I'm bigger than him, if not the same size, I have a longer reach, I know I have better wrestling and better jiu-jitsu. His stand-up is unbelievable, but I know I have the reaction time and the understanding of stand-up to where I'm not going to get knocked out from out of nowhere.

Chris Weidman: "If I get my hands on Anderson Silva, it's game over."

I love how a guy who doesn't even have 10 pro fights yet is calling the middleweight GOAT a coward but when Zuffa was trying to get Weidman to fight Belfort, he said he wanted to wait until he got a title shot.

So when Anderson lobbies to fight a bigger name(GSP/Bisping) that could make him more money...he's scared....but when Weidman does the same thing...he's just a wise businessman:shaq2:

Dude is gassed off of whooping a flawed Mark Munoz. Rory is hated on here but he's WAAAAYYYYY more likeable than this guy, IMO.
