Superheavy is absurd to me, but if they created a 207-230/235 cruiser division...maybe Jon could go there and test himself against some of the smaller former heavyweights b/f he gets his "man body" and can effectively go up to heavyweight....then light heavy could get some life thrust into it since Jon leaves...Heavyweight might get thin, though...some already say JDS has cleaned the div. out. They might even want Jon to stay at LHW and possibly hold that and the cruiser belt....ehh, I'm souring on the idea already.

LOL....Paul wants to win a tourny...then get to the title fight...where he gets raped by Ben Askren for about a half hour. He seems to be a heavy welter...he'd probably be better off entering the middleweight tourny...Hector's gone...and he could beat Schlemenko or whoever else.

From the sounds of it....it really doesn't give anyone an advantage over anyone else. The only fighters who need it are early 30s on up, and that's so they can still be able to run with the younger cats. Why not? :manny:

So whats everyone thoughts on TRT use.

mixed thoughts i guess...

i wish it wasnt a option in the sport. mir, marquardt, sonnen are all examples of why its foul, the testosterone limit is an example of why its foul. but its rooting out the roiders. we know whose testosterone is shot in their 30s. and these guys cant do shyt to the top guys with it. sonnen over did the fukk outta it and at best he got choked in the 5th. rampage got beat. mir got beat. henderson has looked good but will look like a little boy vs jones.

but i consider what they do along the way.

and if im wrong about the hendo/jones outcome, imo it could only be for one reason, and that would be a problem.

:duck: I don't believe that shyt because if it didn't give them some kind of physical advantage then why take it. Im not saying it makes you superman but im sure that shyt helps with training and recovery from the previous workouts

Lukie and i talked about TRT use in the podcast this week. I feel like if you feel the need to take TRT to get an extra advantage...maybe its time to hang em up.

As you get older, your body starts to fall off due to testosterone dropping. I think older fighters(especially those with massive wear and tear due to years of wars) are at a disadvantage training and fighting with their test levels as is against these young bucks. Once again, I don't think it gives anyone an advantage cuz younger fighters don't even need it, and it only puts the older fighters at their prior test levels. Yall in here acting like TRT is the same as roiding up...and it definitely isn't.

There are different versions? Pretty sure he does the same thing damn near every fight (leg lock, if he doesn't get it he quits)

I still cant believe Alan Belcher got out of that heel hook I though that shyt was over the second it went to the floor

That's what happens when you resort to being a one-trick pony. You can tell Belcher had the perfect gameplan going in. Palhares needs to improve his stand up a bit more and utilize it cuz he has power, and he could also go for some brutal slam + gnp victories as well.

But there's the situation of these fighters having lower natural testosterone at their current age b/c of the PED abuse from their 20's.

roids makes it harder for ppl to produce their own testosterone after they get off of it...so alot of these guys probably juiced earlier in their careers and now since they've gotten older/off of the juice; now they need to replace the testosterone that they lost...so they're using TRT...so alot of them are technically cheating.

This is how it was explained to me. if I'm wrong, correct me.

This would be true providing that all of the fighters using TRT have juiced. However, let's not act like test levels don't drop in your 30's whether you juiced or not. Hell, in that case, don't you think juicers would have had to use TRT in their 20's anyways due to inconsistent test. production...or did they just constantly juice to keep their test up? In that case, madd people would have been busted.

But enough to require TRT? I only thought that they administered that (even with athletes and wrestlers) if your testosterone production pretty much completely shut down, which isn't really going to happen for guys in their 30s, right?
