I believe that the next challenge for Rogerio (Noguiera) will be the same against Shogun. It's a confrontation that the UFC wants to do, for political issues and marketing. They made a classic in PRIDE which was voted the best fight of the year. I think they will want to make this rematch. It is a fight that everybody wants to see." - Sergio Cunha via UOL
Team Nogueria coach, Sergio Cunha, believes Antonio Rogerio Nogueira's next opponent should be former UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua.
Cunha, who was Rua's former coach, openly criticized Rua's performance against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on FOX 5, where the Brazilian lost via unanimous decision. After Nogueira impressive victory over Rashad Evans at UFC 156, Cunha revealed that UFC executives are interested in the bout.
The two light-heavyweight veteran's previously clashed in 2005 at Pride Critical Countdown 2005 in the opening round of the middleweight Grand Prix tournament.
