Cris Cyborg (144.8) vs. Fiona Muxlow (143.8)

from Zombie Prophets twitter...Fiona looks shook, Cris will easily be 150-155 by tomorrow, she got a nice cheer from the crowd when introduced at the weigh in

Shady....?

La Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux (RACJ), the athletic commission in Quebec, on Thursday confirmed that it had six fighters drug tested at UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz on March 16 in Montreal. The RACJ added that all six tests produced clean results, but would not say who any of the tested fighters were.

Jonathan Tweedale, a representative of Nick Diaz’s camp, however, revealed to MMAWeekly.com that Diaz was one of the six.

Not only did Tweedale confirm that Diaz was tested and produced negative results, but added that Diaz’s camp is requesting further information from the Quebec commission.

Mr. Diaz’s sample tested negative. We have now requested from the Quebec Commission (the Regie):

1) A copy of the Regie’s request to the laboratory specifying which substances the lab was asked to test the sample for (if any), and

2) A copy of any documents received from the lab conducting the drug testing showing the precise test results for Mr. Diaz for all substances the sample was actually tested for.

Tweedale would not elaborate on why they requested further information from the commission, but it should be noted that Diaz’s camp has already challenged the RACJ over its handling of the UFC 158 weigh-ins.

The Diaz camp stated that the RACJ relaxed its own rules for the main event, in particular, because Georges St-Pierre was involved.

“The Quebec Commission deliberately relaxed the rule (regarding a bout’s contracted weight) in this case and, by its own admission, allowed their home-town fighter to ‘make weight’ even if he weighed more than the contracted weight,” Tweedale noted in an earlier statement to MMAWeekly.com regarding the controversial weigh-in situation.

St-Pierre won the five-round championship fight by unanimous decision.

Diaz noted after the bout’s conclusion that he intended to retire if he was not granted a rematch with St-Pierre or a fight with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Tweedale stated that Diaz “still feels the same way” in regards to his retirement.

Tonight is the Bellator season 8 finale, really looking forward to the FW title fight between Curran and Shamhalaev. I favor Curran because his striking is so technical and he has the cardio edge, but Shamhalaev does pack a lot of power in his strikes.

Also the FW tourney final between Richman and Frodo should be great as well. FW is easily the best division the company has.

yeah good card tonight. Too bad they're having so much trouble making starts. It's the tournament set up. You just can't do it. But people should tune in tonight. It's a good one. Cheering for my dog Frodo to fukk shyt up.

Thoughts on Bellator last night

Nice comeback win for Rick Hawn against Karo, although Karo is a far cry from what he used to be.

Rhino Marshall left Bret Cooper :deadmanny: Kind of a dikk move for him to stand and glower over him like that. I see him losing to Alesander whenever they fight for the belt though.

Mother Russia celebrates again :blessed:, as Frodo takes the FW tourney in a very close fight against Richman. It was the activity and pace of Frodo that won him the fight, along with some well timed takedowns. Richman is too content sometimes to counter strike when he could have taken the 3rd rd if he really turned it on.

Curran got his 2nd title defense this yr a lot quicker than I expected. With his 1st fight this year against Pitbull being a striking battle for 5 rds, you kind of forget how good his grappling is as well. Next up for him should be Daniel Strauss in a rematch and I favor him to get his 3rd title defense.

Rick Hawn had a good win, but I think that also proved he is not elite since Karo was fairing pretty well against him.

Doug Marshall strikes me as a racist so I just expect him to be as low class as possible.

I feel asleep after that since I was tired , but props to Pat Curran dude is putting together a good streak.

I want to see Kaufman vs. Smith on Invicta tonight - anything of note happen at ONE FC?

I can't believe the Frodo/Richman scorecards were all 30-27, it was a close fight. Richman's counter striking was nice and he was landing the cleaner shots but like you alluded to he was not aggressive enough. There were a couple time especially in the 2nd where I think if he pushed it a little bit more he could've put Frodo in serious danger.

Curran's a beast, that choke was slick

I'm hyped for tomorrow's card in Sweden even w/o AG. The weigh-ins were spirited. I think the Brimmage-Irish guy fight is on the prelims...hopefully it's shown on the main card.

I didn't even know Easton-Pickett was on this card :krs: For the more diehard fan, this is a beautiful card.

Bellator was awesome AGAIN....LOL@Marshall's promo...dude just seems like a bonafied scumbag. The Schlemenko fight will be fun for however long it lasts.

The Curran sub was fantastic...when does the new season start?

And oh yeah....Joe Warren is a "legendary coach"?....looks like it'll be a good show, though.

An interesting article from a couple weeks ago about the main event @ WSOF 2:
