If Daley were to improve his ground game,
could woulda shoulda fact is he hasnt. All this time away from the states is making him have no sense of urgency to work on that aspect of the game. And yet you expect him to thrive in the ufc? :what:
Right now, with favorable match-ups he would also easily crack the top 10. Daley has the striking and power to finish a lot of solid fighters in the UFC.
For that to happen Zuffa need to be getting something out of the deal like an mma ambassador/top headliner in britain daley wont fetch them that.So why would they move heaven and earth to give him favorable matches that catapult him up the rankings, hes a pariah remember? :mjpls:
:heh: at you comparing saunders to Semtex.
Wasnt comparing both fighters just made an example to anchor my point if that confused you? :ld:

Getting finished by Manhoef (via strikes) is a bad look? I'm starting to doubt you even follow the sport.
dude everyone knows (despite his KBx pedigree) melvin can be reckless as fuk/ susceptible chin and is like a fish out of water on the ground, misaki is/was a judoka. If melvin could beat misaki swiftly and if santiago could stop him daley had no excuses. To go 3 rds never even coming close to finishing him and then lose yeah thats a bad look

He's a top 3-5 striker in the division with tons of power. I don't see how him potentially being a contender is laughable. Current DHK would get blasted. Like I said, vs Saffediene, it's a toss-up. Saff is a bit more versatile, while Daley holds a huge advantage in power.

In what division, WW? :russ: Hes not top anything. Hes a one dimensional puncher with power and no grappling whatsoever. Hes not potentially anything in this current 170lb division but a gatekeeper

unlike these "tactical fighters" Edgar isn't trying to point fight. dude is just fighting to the best of his ability. it aint much but it was enough to get a good reign at LW, and he at least KO'd Maynard. It ain't like he's like Bendo, Rory or Uriah hall who frustrate you when you watch them fight on some play it safe shyt. he stay going to war
you think a reign filled of disputed victories and rematches is good? :leon:

Who said there was a racial agenda :why: I just think if you truly love mma you would want to see the prodigy retire having avenged 2 big losses. I dont see what there is to edgar as a personality/fighter to stir any strong emotion to root for him but if one did it would because they see a likeness/to live vicariously through him

You just said that only white fans want to see him win. :what: Claiming UFC promotion of Edgar as an underdog was somehow making him the great white hope. Why would I care about BJ? His time is up. Hes not contending for anything nor does he have a future at 145lb. I hate the fact that this shyt fight was even signed. We have Mendes on the next card without an opponent and it would have been perfect for a guy like Edgar to step in for that fight instead of wasting time filming a shyt TUF season/fighting a washed up dude with a grudge

Name better strikers (only people I can think of are Lawler and Condit). He has power in both hands (especially his left) and has powerful knees. He's not a one-dimensional puncher. No grappling whatsoever? Stuffing 12/14 TDs against Woodley says otherwise.

Whats wrong with your reading, nobody is looking on to the future in bj's case, this is all about letting a legend go out the right way..Clearly you arent a fan or are oblivious to what he brought to the sport.I agree that no one asked for it and its a waste of time but now that it is going down I find it bizarre thatmost ppl wouldnt root for bj penn. I guess this is a debate that separates the pre and post TUF mma heads

McDonald, Saffeidine, Alves, and thats off top. And lets not even get into GSP, Diaz and other guys whos inactive, not ranked, etc. Hes a boxer. So what he stuffed TD in a fight? Does he have TD, top control, sub game? No

Sorry, I found it hard to care about BJ when he was getting pounded on his last two fights. A win for him, Edgar, or the UFC. Should have bowed out after the Hughes fight. Now he just looks foolish

McDonald? :usure::russ: And he's a better striker than Saffiediene, better hands and way more power. Including Diaz and GSP, Daley is still top 5-6 striker in the division.
