Korean Zombie fans will have to wait just a little longer for Chan Sung Jung’s return to the Octagon. A recent shoulder strain will keep him from fighting Akira Corassani in Stokholm on October 4, 2014.

Jung’s management confirmed the news to MMA-in-ASIA today. The injury comes post-rehab for Zombie’s shoulder surgery which was necessitated by a freak dislocation that came during his August 3rd match with UFC Featherweight Championship bout against Jose Aldo a year ago.

The injury is a strain to Jung’s shoulder which he received during his training camp for Corassani, and it is the same shoulder that was operated upon. However, no structural damage has been done. Jung will need 4 weeks of rehab and then a doctor’s decision to resume training.

Look at that gif again. Bendo arm came up to defend himself as soon as RDA rushed. He was literally crawling around John legs as soon as he came over. Now look at this

Barao fell on his damn arm and did not have his hands up to protect himself at all. No stoppage. At least let the man have a chance to defend himself. And there is no outcry. No one here is vocal about this exept me. Go check Sherdog or UG. No one cares.

I hear you, I thought Renan got a champion break when he got dropped in that gif his eyes were glazed over badly when he hit the mat

I'm one of the few who likes Bendo and still have my delusions that he can Clay Guida his way to a win over Pettis someday. ..

I know I'm a bad example I tend to lean way towards the side of caution with fighters favorites of mine or not going temporarily limp (pause) because that two/ three seconds or so that you give a fighter a chance to work can be the difference between a Kongo vs Pat Barry finish and a hospital stay/ people calling for your head because you let it go on too long. It's a shytty position to be in as a ref with a generally durable fighter, for every Bendo there's an Andrei Arlovski who you have to stay ready to dive on top of like a fumble in the Super Bowl to save him every time he gets hit even close to clean.

Los Angeles
(CNN) -- After a weeklong manhunt, authorities have arrested mixed martial arts fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver in Southern California for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend in Las Vegas.

Police captured Koppenhaver, who goes by War Machine, at a motel in Simi Valley on Friday afternoon. He's originally from the suburb near Los Angeles.

"Inside the room was a small quantity of cash and some pizza," the Simi Valley Police said in a statement.

Koppenhaver has been on the run since his ex-girlfriend accused him of assault on August 8, according to CNN affiliate KVVU.

At the time, police were called to a Las Vegas home at 4 a.m. and found two people suffering from nonlife-threatening injuries, theaffiliate reported.

One of the two, adult film actress Christy Mack, said Koppenhaver beat her several times during the August 8 incident, according to the affiliate.

In Twitter posts shortly after the alleged attacks, Koppenhaver appeared to address the issue. He said he had gone to the house to surprise Mack with a ring and ended "up fighting for my life."

"I only wish that man hadn't been there and that Christy & I would be happily engaged," he posted. "I don't know y I'm so cursed. One day truth will come out."

His tweets two days after the alleged incident don't say who the man in the house was.

"The cops will never give me fair play, never believe me," he posted. "Still, deciding what to do but at the end of the day, it's all just heart breaking."

Koppenhaver is awaiting extradition to Nevada, the affiliate reported.

Police were basically called after he was fighting with ANOTHER woman in the hotel and the disturbance alerted guests. He was Tazed and apprehended.

Aldo seemed cool at first, not sure why the push at the end. I have to say I am looking forward to that fight more now that their beef has started. It would be the perfect time for Aldo to have a statement win.

Card for UFC 180 is shaping up nicely

Ricardo Lamas vs. Dennis Bermudez
Jake Ellenberger vs. Kelvin Gastelum
Diego Sanchez vs. Norman Parke
Erik Perez vs. Marcus Brimage

Initial thoughts

Bermudez beats Lamas. He really didn't look good against Hacran Dias
Ellenberger gets his walking papers. Minute he gets tagged he freezes. And Gastelum is surprisingly quick and has power.
Sanchez should be gone(retire) too if he can't beat Parke. He should tho
Perez vs Brimage is a toss up.

Good card. Hopefully injuries keep it from collapsing
