Its starting to look embarrassing the way dana is hyping title shots like they are the most prestigious honours yet all these brazillian fighters are just like nah.During the whole FOX thing he was trying to make out like machida was chasing him for a title shot cuz he was hungry for a rematch against jones.Now they set a date and lyoto passes?

Jones-Belfort is a great fight but I'm frankly not hyped for it...It just feels weird.

this, coupled with the chael situation makes it seem like they are just feedin jj anderson's sloppy seconds.Given that jones is larger and has a wrestling base who really wants to see these fights.Ufc are in trouble

Barnett reverted to his pro wrestling land safely approach when he realized he was going in the air and there wasn't shyt he could do about it. To think I thought Big Foot was going to be too much too soon for DC, I was mad about that matchup and he tore through that fool.




Jones vs Vitor now? WTF is going on at Zuffa. The OG "phenom" vs the modern one, easy to market I suppose. Vitor ain't the toughest guy to take down and you know Safety Greg is going to make sure that's basically all that happens

Dana is acting like a little spoilt brat right now...he knew what he was doing...he wanted Chael to get that belt off of Jones and because he couldn't have things his way, he threw a fit

Back to what we were discussing earlier.. punishing fighters for not doing what they are suppose to do.Why take away the guys future title shot because he needs more time to prepare for a fighter who he lost to the first time they met? again...makes no sense

While I agree with most of this post its not just dana going rogue making these moves, I think the ferritatas have their say as well.We just assume its all dana cuz hes puff daddying out there.

I think its quite ludicrous that everyone is pointing the finger at jones missing the point that a guy from MW coming off a title loss was about to be gift wrapped another title shot.Where jones went wrong was in his phrasing on why he was refusing the fight.It came off hoish and invites criticism.. What he should've said was the truth "this is crazy, this guy hasnt fought at lhw in 6 years and is 1-2 in the ufc.Yet I should offer him a title fight?"

Why did this fight need to be for the title again? is what i am asking..Given the circumstances they could just have sold it as a grudge match.If chael took it to jones he would be a made man at LHW.But to put the title on the line no matter what devalues the belt & makes a mockery of the sport. for the guy that says jones needs a publicist

I really want to believe this. Frank i don't think is even interested, as long as the checks keep coming in, he is good..Lorenzo probably comments but i honestly think they let Dana handle everything. Look at post fight press conferences, Dude makes decisions about fighters futures without even consulting them...but its funny how on this occasion when everything hits the fan he says in the press conference that he and Lorenzo are disgusted at Jones...Dana is a jerk and he will be the down fall of the company

I was reading that 2-3 weeks ago he was the one who injured Hendo's knee while they were sparring...wonder if he did it on purpose????

Vitor is Lorenzo's guy. Jones had no choice but to accept. This is UFC showing who is the boss after Jones stood up to them

Supposedly Jones wasn't asked if he wanted Vitor. Was just sent a bout agreement with understanding sign it or else.

I definitely apologize to the other fighters on the card," Jones said. "I feel terrible, but it also wasn't my decision to cancel the whole card. I don't make those decisions.

"I take a lot of pride in the way I perform, and I want to put on the best performance possible every time I fight. I don't want to go out there just to win the fight. I want to go out there to dominate. I want to make it look effortless. I want it to be a beautiful thing."

"Chael is completely different fighter," Jones said. "This is war. This is strategy. You have to go in there prepared and know that you did your homework. I wouldn't be the same warrior if I just jumped in there blindly and was cutting weight while I was trying to prepare for the fight.

"Greg Jackson wasn't going to show up until Friday. Coach (Mike) Winkeljohn wasn't going to be there until Wednesday or Thursday. I would have been pretty much on my own trying to prepare for a new opponent. That's just not the best way to prepare."
