Dana on his bullshyt again trying to convince the public that Chael Sonnen is a bigger PPV draw than Jon Jones.

Dana White Names Top Five Pay-Per-View Draws In Company - Bloody Elbow

He is right now. I don't know why you think that's odd.

Jones doesn't sell that much. He does well but he's not the top star or anything. Rampage and Rashad gave him bigger number because they sell a lot. Their fights VS other guys sold more than the Jones fight. Machida's fights vs other guys sold more than Jones.

The numbers for this one will be interesting and the number VS Hendo if they end up fight will be interesting.

I can't stand Chael either so i hope they don't make that stupid fight.

dana is the guy who depended on a wwe reject to sell ppvs

this is a bad sign for the ufc as a whole, if their good fighters cant sell fights while azzes like chael can the end of the ufc is very near

Chael hasn't headlined a PPV (or even a free card) outside of the Silva fights. There's no evidence he's a bigger draw than Jones.

This is exactly what I was going to say, chael's BO appeal is still an unknowm because other than his silva fights zuffa have never put him out there to headline a ppv, Fox card or fuel card at that
It's so much more impressive when you actually look at who Bones has beaten.
Fair enough but I could also understamnd the arguement that hes the roger federer of MMA = Feasting & reigning supreme only because his contemporaries are battle tested vets that are either broken down, :flabbynsick: or :old:

The argument that Bones has defeated former LHW champions is irrelevant simply for the fact that not one of those guys defended the belt more than once. That's not a knock on him but it doesn't hold the significance everyone thinks.

Jon Jones is unstoppable right now but they're all unstoppable until they're stopped. Machida, Fedor, BJ Penn, Brock..

He has some weaknesses.. If only Vitor locked up that triangle a minute earlier...

the reason for that is because the division was fukkin loaded with talent like no other division aside from 170. we never saw this before at 205. for the last 3 years the title was like a hot potato from griffin, to rashad, to machida, to shogun now to jones. it's not a bad thing, all those guys are great/good fighters, no slouches, no cupcakes for anyone who wants to hold the title at 205.

I don't disagree but the fact that they were former champs is moot cause take that away, and his run through the division is still just as impressive.
