Horrible match up for Vitor, but I understand the thought process behind it.

If he wins he's the number one contender for the belt, and if he loses he still has a potential big money fight with Anderson that people want to see.

The winner is probably guaranteed a title shot since Yoel popped. Belfort is the Faber of the heavier weight classes.

I feel sliva will get another title shot before they do.... I'm sure UFC would want him on 200 also if he beats bisping

Considering the timing, maybe both winners could get title shots. Figure, end of Feb. Bisping or Silva gets a win and the next title shot (neither really deserving it now but based on career it's a nice send-off) and then Jacare/Belfort winner locks in the next slot. I think Weidman needs a layoff to recover from the beating he took, so this would buy him time to get back to 100% and take a tune up fight before sliding into a potential title shot after those guys get it.
