Tbh, probably every FW not named Frankie Edgar could make 170Most of their walk about weight is around that.If this muthafukker can make 170 what the fukk is he doing at FW? If memory serves me correctly Nate has only been finished by strikes once, I wouldn't count him out so easily.
People overrating the shyt out of Nate

If these guys are not getting paid to stay ready don't expect them to. Aldo is known to blow up in between fights, there's no way he can fight with less then 2 weeks notice. These dudes talked about how hungry they were to fight Conor, and when the opportunity presents itself, they are not ready...
Conor already told EVERY UFC fighter to stay ready in case any challenger is unable to step up to the challenge...
On a different point,
You have to stay ready...Most of these UFC injuries are not "freak accidents"...They are a result of fighters not training properly...Why was RDA kicking the pads/the dude he was sparring with so hard, when he knows during the fight he is barely going to kick....?
Learn the proper technique during training, do some cardio and save the "going hard" for the octagon...
I hate it when these fighters get injured for "training hard" but when you watch the fights they are very hesitant and timid, and they (most fighters) don't fight at even 50% of their training intensity...
The first round of most fights is just dudes circling each other and throwing tentative shots...But when you see them sparring in the gym, they go all out...
They are training harder than they fight...It is backwards...

Just look at mendes, he gassed out after one round with 2 weeks notice, unless Diaz getting ready for a marathon or something he won't have much beyond a round either
Staying in shape and fight shape are two different thingsthe diaz brothers stay in shape all year round. lmao they aint no chad mendez. they always have more than a round in the tank. mendes is a stocky wrestler who throws wild bombs and has poor boxing. the diaz brothers werent wrestlers they started with bjj and boxing. their work ethic is a more classic boxing type deal where they stay in shape all year round and are ready to fight at any time.
