On another note........... sports ref have some amazing perks huh. Immense pressure and there will always be hate, but shyt you can travel the world, be part of world's biggest sporting events. You right there when stars emerge and hypetrains derail.

So I was watching Nate vs Cowboy Cerrone last night. I still remember a lot of heads were mad at Nate for slapping off Cowboy's hat and shoving him at the press conference. Honestly, I kinda wish he hadn't done that since Cowboy is such a good dude. I think Nate said he didn't like that Cowboy smiled in his face, I guess Nate just acted on impulse.

Here's what I saw in the fight.
1st round - Nate lit Cowboy up with numerous jabs and combos, clearly dominated the round.

2nd round - More jabs from Nate but by then Cowboy started fighting back hard. Cowboy started lighting up Nate with some huge leg kicks. Straight up dropping Nate with the leg kicks. Then at one point Cowboy hits Nate with a huge head kick. Nate looks visibly dazed, and instead of Cowboy to take advantage for some reason he decides to let Nate back up. :mindblown:

I honestly think Cowboy would have won this fight right after the head kick if he had followed up after.

3rd Round - Nate comes out like :ucku:

Cowboy looks winded meanwhile Nate looks full of energy. Nate lands some more jabs on Cowboy, on the other hand Cowboy continues to punish Nate with leg kicks and drops Nate several times with leg kicks.
Nate gets the win and both of my dudes hug and squash the beef :salute:
Sorry for the long post but I just forgot how epic of a fight this was :blessed:

Matt Mitrone signed to Bellator for a 4 fight deal. He's guaranteed six figures per fight and he's the color commentator for Bellator Kickboxing now. He starts commentating on April 16th. Nice to see him get a good deal and set up a second career for himself in broadcasting :ehh:

They're probably going to book Meathead vs Kimbo again

I wish Coker signed Aljamain Sterling, that was a no brainer IMO :francis:

Rory MacDonald is a free agent after his fight vs Wonderboy

Hey if you can dig up some more of Nate's recent fights, I want to put his claim to the test. Dude said if he had camp, he'd be flawless. He wouldn't have ate Conor's left straight/crosses at all. Is his counter right hook that real? I suppose he could also mean slipping the punches too.

His boxing has always been pretty damn good. Did you see his fight with Michael Johnson? Straight up owned MJ in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Prior to that fight he hadn't fought in over a year, and that was his fight with RDA which RDA won convincingly. But RDA is just a complete savage, Nate's great now but he's gunna have to work really hard to get up to that level.

1 thing I respect about Coker is that his companies pay the fighers about 50% of the total pie. I've done my fair share of research on this. UFC is probably around the 20 - 25% range right now

20-25% based of reported income only or including non-reported bonuses?

Coker said he has no interest in Sterling. Sterling wanted to test the free agent market and Bellator didn't even want to talk to him.

Rory also said he's not happy with the way negotiating has gone with the UFC. Says he deserves more money than the UFC is offering. Said he's going to sign with whoever offers the most.

Rory is getting paid 50k/50k on his current deal, which is awful for an elite fighter in of the best/deepest divisions in the UFC.
