I hope the hungry "angry old man" Fitch shows up again. He's impossible to choke it seems but Maia isnt any old blackbelt. Good match up indeed

-P-

I've got to roll with Fitch before. I'm happy he finally decided to start fighting like he does in the gym. If he fights like he did against Silva and Maia fights like he did against DHK and Story, then we could have an awesome ground fight on our hands. I like both these guys a lot, and will be rooting for Maia, but it's hard to bet against Fitch at 170.

Remember the Joe Daddy x Sotiropoulos fight? I'm hoping it's like that. Probably won't be as dynamic, but still.

even though it's not the best event I'm pretty pumped for tonight. It's been forever since a real event (China was minor to me). I'm excited for GSP to comeback and I'm a huge Johny Hendricks fan.

What am I missing that no one is picking Pablo Garza over Hommnick?

It seems as though the death of Tompkins deeply affected the whole camp and his last two fights have shown a regression in tech as well as loss of focus, similar to Joe Daddy when he fight his skid....

just saying why is this being overlooked....

this is a tough pick. His losing record lately looks bad but it was Aldo, Zombie (quick punch but Zombie has proven to be a top fighter) and Eddie Yagin is legit.

Garza is good but he lost his last two to worse competition and was finished in one of those.

Other than killing Paixao, Garza hasn't really impressed me much, even his other win against Jaboiun I'm pretty sure he was getting lit up standing and he was dominated by Poirer and Bermudez.

Hominick is coming off some losses and didn't look great against Korean Zombie and the first 2 rounds against Yagin but he did seem to turn a corner in the last round of that fight.

I just think Garza's shot is on the ground but he has weak takedowns while Hominick has a solid takedown defense and will keep it standing and on their feet Hominick is on another level striking.
