I remember when Dana white sd he was creating this division for him, well I haven't seen Dodson do much really in last 3 years. To be great u gotta beat greats.

Are you all saying Benevidez is a great now? The best fighter DJ has faced was cruz and he lost.

Bones Jones has beaten legends and greats. Same with Conor, beating aldo alone ranks higher than nething DJ has done thus far.

This is an unfair comparison. DJ is in a new division and is the only champ so of course he hasn't beaten a great or former champ.

Might Mouse still had a 9-5 when he fought Cruz. If I'm not mistaken, that was the fight he says he finally decided he needed to shift to MMA full time. Dodson is legit in my book, his first run up to the title shot was wicked; slept Dillashaw, dominated Elliot and then finished Formiga. I had him beating Lineker too, that'd make his only UFC losses to MM.




It's the way he wins though. Looking back at Silva and GSP; they fought some soft competition too, but dominating is key. You look at the run down and Johnson is fighting the best fighters in his division and not even getting touched. The first fights with Mccall and Dodson are the only ones that were even close. Reis for instance isn't an exciting name but the significant strikes went 108 - 16 and ended with an arm bar when Reis is a BJJ expert. Beating Cody or TJ would lock him up at the very top but right now he's got an argument; especially if he locks in the title defense record.

But it's expected to dominate most of these fighters they are not greats. Reis come on now. Like let's jus line up a cpl fighters and see if ne sticks out.

And now dj, Dodson, Reis, benavdez Who else? I know u guys mention Cejudo I dunno why he's beaten exactly nobody in ufc to make him a quality name. Macall another hyped up name who's beaten no1.

U guys gotta stop falling in this wme/ufc trap of over hyping names for fake crowns and calling every1 a great.

Horiguchi (dude was already top three in the division before UFC let him walk and he's got a long career ahead of him), Torres (one of the WEC's best champions before UFC went lighter) and Kid Dynamite (Made his killing in Japan) belong on MM's list. Mccall pre-addiction was no joke either (I mean, if Jeremy Horn and Thales Leites are gonna count). WME isn't hyping Mighty Mouse, he's about to break the title defense record and he's cleaned out a division. Only the greats clean out a division and nobody cleans out number one contenders without so much as being threatened for their belt, that's strictly a Mighty Mouse accomplishment.

Thing is there was a big nog and cross co0. They have beaten other legendary top fighters.

DJ has beaten no1 who is considered a great, a champ or even upper echelon. You can play this game as long as you like Hut beating up on mid tier at beat fighters doesn't make u great. Just consistent at beating mediocre opponents.

Are there any fighters that DJ has beaten that if they were to retire today wld be considered great? Or a future hall of famer? If you can't name more than 1. Then that's it answer on Dj's career
