Lol he looks like rampage with dreads now. Some of what he said was :patrice: tho like the belief promoters "influence" on a fight is greater now than before. The 6 months/ 2 weeks thing sounds like a last minute replacement scenario which isnt the same as "matchfixing"

The very basis of that statement doesnt hold water for the simple fact the MMA boom is over. Its UFC and way way down its bellator then pfl and all the others. There is no mega star emerging that would compel a promoter to "fix" a fight. Now compare that to 5-10 years ago when the sport had Shamrock, kimbo, gina sakaraba or charlatans like Gary Shaw and the triad attached to the sport. Too many hits to the head it seems

If Max wins Conor will be quick to come back, he's stupid enough to think he'll be fighting the same Max.

I believe a rematch vs Max is a lot easier on paper for Conor than Khabib... just of styles alone. Not to say Max hasn’t improved night and day it’s just...

Also if Max loses and it’s in humiliating Khabib fashion I wonder if that does anything to him mentally moving forward... he has a nice mental thing going with his win streak and confidence.

Why is there an assumption that conor is returning?:dwillhuh: and even if in some parallel universe max won why would that be the impetus for a return when khabib is still always going to be a fight or 2 from the title anyways

I know it’s different weight classes that’s not stopping Max from going against Khabib tho
True, I just don't see the incentive for Ortega who is comfortable at that weight never has problems making the weight and was assured the title shot.

Just as much of incentive as Max has to go against Khabib in 6 days... I’m being facetious but if Ortega beats Ferg he’s basically a contender in both weight classes
