They probably didn’t like the optics of Ferguson possibly being a two time interim champ and they know they screwed the man the first time by stripping him because he got hurt while doing media for them

The word is that he turned down the Max fight for the interim. He also tweeted "I could make 145" recently. My guess is he didn't want another interim title himself rather than vice versa and only wanted Max for a real belt. But that's pure speculation...I wouldn't be mad at it either, we just saw Assuncao get screwed over by title fight politics.

Have fun not getting a title fight for 2 more years ferguson. Should've taken the damn fight with max. Good money and great fight. I'm not mad at max vs Dustin though. Max could avenge his loss from 7 years ago. Gonna be a slug fest. Also that card with the main and co main look :blessed:
