Didn't see this posted anywhere else so for those who don't know:
Fitch signed 4 fight deal with Sefo's world series of fighting. They don't know who his first opponent will be yet. I wonder why Bellator didn't scoop him up. Were they afraid a "ufc reject" would beat their Jon Fitch, in Ben Askren? Or did Fitch think that if he couldn't outwrestle a jui jitsu guy that he couldn't outwrestle Askren? WSOF has NOBODY for Jon to fight.

And those cartoons sounded just like Nick Diaz:whoo:

how bout winner of that gonzaga/browne fight?

At this point, any Reem fight is intriguing...but from how he looked in his last fight(slow, no head movement, leaning into punches, eventually getting knocked out), he just seems past his prime. If they think he's in "cash out" mode, give him the toughest fight against the biggest, highest ranked name they can find. But if they wanna give him a tune up to get him back on a win streak and build him back up, who is there logically to give him that won't touch that chin?

I might be overstating it...but other than the takedowns out of the clinch, I thought Reem looked awful. How do you look physically smaller but you're slower/more sluggish than ever. He, at least that night, seemed pretty shopworn to me.

it sucks that Dana is so against havin tourneys, wit all da mid level talent in the HW division is tourney is da best way to drum up a new contender and get sum marketing push behind em.

Sure when u have a stacked division like 155 or 170 where theres so many options u dont need tourneys, but in divisions like HW and LHW recently it jus seems like da same guys goin round in circles at the top, a tourney would b wicked.

If injuries weren't so common, tournaments would be really dope.

Gracie responds to White. In response to Dana White's claims that Nick Diaz cost the UFC $50,000 by missing scheduled interview dates, Cesar Gracie told BJPenn.com: "No way, it's impossible. The guys that were doing the shoot, the main guy lives in Sacramento, which the drive to Lodi is 45 minutes away. If they're paying the camera guys that much, they should pay the fighters more. Who the hell gets $50,000 for a couple days?"

alot of the times when Dana says dis fighter or so n so turned down dis fight. It's not that they turned down fighting that opponent. Its usually the terms of the fight, the % of ppv cut the fighter wanted isnt what Dana is willing to offer. Dana figures im doin u a favour puttin u in a marquee fight, so ur not gettin da big cut this time. Win the fight and the next fight u'll get a nice cut.

Based on Hunt's recent statements, what you're saying makes a lot of sense actually. Here is what he had to say:

"I just wasn't happy with some of the things that were getting done here. As an employee of a company, I shouldn't be treated the way I was being treated. I didn't think it was fair.

"Dana listened to what I had to say, which was pretty cool," Hunt continued. "I voiced my opinions about different things that I wasn't happy about, and now I'm [happy]. He said, ‘You know, I can't fix the problem if I don't what the problem is.' He's being pushed so many places because he's got a big company. But I said, you know, being the boss of the company should know what goes on. I was happy he listened and then he fixed the problem. It was good. He's a good person. He listened to what I had to say and sorted it out, so it was fine."

Hunt also addressed White's public statements that he had turned down the fight.

"I'm not a liar," Hunt explained. "I'm a pretty straight up person. And I'd told the truth. What my thing is, I tell most of the time the truth, and sometimes it's good for me, sometimes it's bad. But, it's true. I don't turn down fights unless I'm injured. Never have. So it's a part of my makeup. Like I said, opportunities don't come that often, so you've got to take them when they come. I wasn't taking a dig at anyone. It was just the way I was voicing my opinion. That's the good thing about Twitter."
