this seems to be the fixed line fans say about fighters but u sound kind of foolish saying it about diaz. He still has the same trainer he had back then, still adopts the same one dimensional tactic and most importantly how could/would u know he's conquered his weakness against lay and prayers when he hasn't had to face anyone that opted to use that very tactic since he got bounced from the ufc

I always felt that Nick got a little lucky with the matchmaking b/c he was largely given strikers since then...nobody that could be a really consistent threat of taking him down and keeping him there. I'm not saying he's not legit top 10 @ WW but it is what it is

that's a pretty bold statement considering gsp has never been subbed and nick has never put (anyone using wrestling) away. Why that would change now that he's just coming back from a year long suspension only heaven knows

lets not get it twisted here, GSP is a smart fighter, he's no idiot, he wanted NO PART of Jake shields ground gm, he made sure to keep dat fight standing. Diaz is from da same camp and Jake n has great on his back BJJ, I doubt GSP really even tests Diaz on da ground till da end of da match.

If GSP wins, i see either via split decision, or doctor stoppage and elbow busin up nick above the eye.

I see Diaz pushin da pace early, tryin 2 make the fight a brawl. GSP using front leg kicks to slow diaz done n take em off his game. i will say though, GSP is not known for having the strongest chin, so its possible Diaz cn tag em.

Gonna b a good fight either way.

jus watched da weigh ins, ur rite, smallest ive seen GSP in yrs. maybe he bulks bck up after he re hydrates, or maybe its jus da brilliance of his camp n trainers knowin gsp gonna have to mimic da quick in n out striking that condit used on diaz, so gsp bulked down a lil to gain sum agility and speed.

yea dats the same thing i'm thinkin, he looks like he shed alot of muscle mass for this fight. maybe its a smart move, maybe he felt to bulky against condit n dat gave condit da chance to catch em wit dat kick.

im hoping JDS takes a page from this book, cuz las fight against Cain he looked too bulked up at the weigh ins, n i thought he would be too stiff vs a wrestler like cain.
