yea every time i watch it, da 1st one hit Gabe's arm and was a legit elbow. 2nd elbow got gabe in the ear, and had a slight hook, but gabe was still good. That 3rd shot was a str8 12-6 elbow rite to the temple, and the second it landed, Gabe's hole body went limp. everything after dat was just illegal/questionable shots. And that ref, shldve saw gabes body limp n stopped it sooner. Even Florian sd Browne got em wit a elbow to the back of the head while gabe was already out.

Seriously, these commissions need to step up the training of some of these refs, they really gettin dudes hurt out here. I expect more especially from da vegas commission based onthe amt of fights they put on.

Yea the ref was that third rate English cat. Gonzaga head did a full turn to the right and he was still catching elbows while he was limp on Browne's knee.

Dana White on Uriah Hall loss:
"I don't think he showboated, I think he mentally broke,"

Is this guy serious, Hall mentally broke, yet Hall was throwin dem shots in the 3rd and final round and was going for that tko.

mentally broke as in he let the pressure of the hype make him deliver a substandard performamce. Not "mentally broke" as in caving in from his opponent's :deadhorse:

bloody elbow conspiracy
Hall looked… Uninterested, or maybe injured…

But as the fight went on, I thought that maybe was uninterested for a reason. He seems to be a smart, perceptive guy, and part of me wonders if he didn’t plan to lose (but make it very close in the process). $100k over three years and ten fights is insulting to even the lowest level, unmarketable UFC fighters, and Hall and his management know that. Even after this loss, tomorrow Hall is still going to be more marketable than Gastelum (whom we’ll all forget existed next week. Anybody remember Colton Smith? I’m not even sure that’s his name anymore).

The reality is, Hall knows the UFC wants him, and he’ll be making 2 to 4 times what Gastelum will be after tonight’s fight.

Of course, this is all conspiracy nonsense, and I don’t want to take anything away from Gastelum. I almost always root for the underdog. Yesterday I called this fight for him (and Zingano for hers) and while it’s a crap contract he’s signing, it’s doubtful he’d have made it to this level, this early in his career – and listening to him talk, he wasn’t about to talk his way into a contract, so good on him. I likewatching him fight just as much as I do Hall, so maybe it’s a win-win after all.

I disagree, I don't think there is any conspiracy Uriah had no respect for his opponent, began showboating and believed his own hype, in the end he got got. He is a good striker with flaws in his game, he better make sure he gets a better ground game in his arsenal or pray his next opponent isn't a wrestler

u mean the same weidman that said he copied it from jones? :mjpls:

@Starburst u seen the media scrum for TUF yet. Watch dana's reaction the moment fallon's name is mentioned.Like i said there is a line that even he wont cross to put ufc over..

^after the stunt she pulled upon the release of haywire its safe to assume shedone breh.Dana was just tryin to use yesterdays face of WMMA to grab headlines and promote the current, which was clever but transparent. If there is someone that seriously believes carano wants to get into mma again I got a bridge to sell you :steviej:which should've deadend this debate from the jump. And even if she was active would dana really start a 145 div without cyborg? Cuz we already know his feelings on what he saw n strikeforce (with her) and he deemed it an eyesore.

she already exists and she fights @ 145 at invicta :
mjpls:

:salute:

If Gina comes back she has to redeem herself with a rematch and beat CyGOAT but that isn't going to happen, she has trouble making weight so a jump to 135 ain't gonna happen either..what would be the point of being in the 145 and not fight CyGOAT?

was i the only one shocked with how gassed tate looked so early? its like once she escaped the guillotine she was in cavewoman mode, moving forward like one of those mini punching bots from japan. Her g/p seemed very delicate too i hate chick fights when you have one fighter thats about it and the other is just a poser.Tate isnt at that level and i hate seeing her get got which is becoming routine. That coenan win really really looks bad on marloes's record right now

I am trying to figure out if Miesha is good or just overrated, I like her but something isn't right..I think she got very lucky in the Marloes fight.

Her stand up against Ronda was ok but Ronda's stand up sucks
Her stand up against cat was ok in 1 and 2 but her stand up sucks too

Other than her lucky win against Marloes, who has she beat that is decent?

She needs to sit down and regroup, maybe train with CyGOAT, someone who can help her up her game...I agree with the person who said, her next fight should be against Liz Carmouche

:comeon: he had the same reaction when asked years ago if women will ever fight in the UFC and if he would let Kimbo in the UFC.....he eventually did both

Shannon Knapp isn't opposed to the idea, if Invicta sign her, he will watch and see the hype. The LGBT community is strong and are very supportive of their own ( not sure what happened with Liz Carmouche) maybe not now but if the UFC can have gay fighter fight and try out, why not a transgender?

LOL@Uriah's performance.....all that reach but he wasn't using the jab enough...he was moving straight back uncovered and was getting tagged...and I loved watching him try to matrix against the cage while getting tagged and taken down....just shows Silva's greatness. Silva couldn't even do that stuff when he came to the UFC....AND HE WAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED. Hall did show flashes, though....that supplex :ahh:

The girl fight was AWESOME. Is Miesha from the Northwest? Cuz she fights just like those team quest dudes....just plodding forward...brawling...clinching...can't remember her having a bad fight ever. Zingano beat the breaks off of her, though. Any chance, at all, against Rousey? Anybody heard any bad national press about the brutality in this fight last night? Honestly that was 1st thing I thought about when Cat won.:(

Next 2 weeks are big for combat sports....we are :blessed:

Uriah is a fukking dumbass, I knew he would pull some shyt like this. He spent half the time trying to be Anderson Silva instead of jabbing and pounding Kevin. Didn't kick the legs, kelvin was jumping around all the time so Uriah couldn't high kick or give one of them flashy kicks. Uriah will have a career in the UFC nevertheless.
I was looking at him like: "why are your hands down breh? :what:"
Cyborg needs to sign with the UFC :blessed:

cnt remember who posted it earlier, but that Uriah interview gives a lot of insight on why maybe Hall lost this last fight. In the interview hall sd, past coaches wld scream and him in training and etc and that method isnt effective for him. Sd he reacts better to a softer approach, and Sonnen in the house was a perfect coach for him because of the approach he took.

I remember the last fight Sonnen was asking for the jab, saying things like "we see something there, keep it up" more as a booster and convo style. This fight wit Kelvin, his guys where doin da screamin at em, to jab more and etc and Uriah jus didnt listen.

Dana n Silva need to put da pressure on Hall to leave dat camp, sometimes change is a good thing. I could picture him fitting him in Tristar wit GSp n Rory great. GSP yrs ago was jus a slick kick boxer, and zero wrestling, wasnt a decorated ncaa wrestler like alot of these guys, and after yrs of hardwork n training GSp is known as one of the best mma wrestlers. Otherwise, go find chuck n learn a good sprawl.

So basically he needs yes people around him and his coaches to baby him and boost his self esteem? I understand that is some manifestation due to him being bullied in the past but I really don't buy that as an excuse for him losing. People and Uriah need to see it for what it really is, he unfortunately got caught up in his own hype...hopefully this will humble him back to the guy we saw on TUF

He didn't listen because he was too busy show boating, his corner told him to stop and be serious

The "Road to the Octagon" special was well-produced as usual.

Mir looks like he's still in the same shape he was against JDS. Although this stuff looks like it was recorded a while ago so hopefully he's shed some pounds since then.

I honestly don't think Gil has much of a chance vs. Ben. He didn't look so hot vs. an injured Thomson in his last fight (which was almost a year ago) whereas Ben looks better than ever.

Nate/Thomson is another intriguing fight. I can see Nate winning this - Josh has decent wrestling, but he isn't the high level wrestler that usually gives Nate problems.
