yeah ufc knew he would never take the fight unless so they threw that caveat in there. And as soon as the ink dried they were on some "we couldn't get a venue in time" BS.If they were genuinely having struggles they must've known that from the jump but to pretend that they were totally blindsided is just :rudy: I only hope anderson benefited monetary wise

They had the venue. I believe they stated that some major conference was in town and that may interfere with the fight. Which was BS because they are still holding the event.

The venue they have now is much smaller. Still big (20k+) but they originally wanted a soccer stadium that held around 70k+. They originally wanted to hold ir Manaus, but they wouldn't let them because there was problem with the noise level at that time of the night (the event is at like midnight in Brazil). Then they were gonna do it in Rio but the UN conference stopped that.

nah never been a fan of the tomfoolery nonsense but ultimate fighter needs some sort of in house narrative.Showing all the training/preps in the world doesnt make for compelling tv.This season has showed that TUF needs drama to build characters and enhance the fights. No one wants to admit it but other than having anik act like ryan seacrest the "live" element aint meant shyt

EXACTLY!!!

I don't watch FX for nothing except UFC programming and football in the fall...can somebody tell me what FX airs monday thru thursdays at 10 pm that gets such better ratings than Ultimate Fighter, which even in non-kimbo years, pulled 1 to 1.5 million viewers on wednesdays on bootleg-ass Spike tv?

Everything on Fx in that time slot is pulling better than 1 -1.5?:aicmon:

This show is pulling 800, 000 viewers now and alot of those live fights were good. Nobody's tryna watch rookies fight on friday night at 10 pm. What was Dana thinking?

They need to do another comeback season(maybe heavyweights?)some time soon, change the day and keep it live. Or drop the "coaches must fight" stip. and just put colorful, popular fighters on the show as coaches. Sonnen and Rampage as coaches. Bisping and Nick Diaz as coaches, etc. Yeah, I know rampage is a terrible coach, lol.

They should get rid of TUF all together. Only way I watch it is on DVR and fast foward thru all of the non-fighting shyt.

Should just have a D-league fighting promotion and have a 3 fight card once a week like on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

And they need to stop numbering non-ppv events its just corny.

The UFC needs to create some more heavyweight talent. They need to create a reality show like The Biggest Loser where they take average heavyweights that want to be better and put em with coaches that help to make them great. That would be entertaining.

Really, Ultimate Fighter will never be great like it used to be for the simple face that UFC doesn't have the MMA market cornered quite like they used to.

If Bellator and Strikeforce were around 10 years ago, guys like Bisping, Forrest and Rashad would've never gone to some little reality tv show like Ultimate Fighter.

Look at all the good fighters that were in WEC...which was seen as some second-rate mma promotion: Condit, Smooth, Stann, Cerrone, etc. TUF ain't getting fighters like this....and they never will again. But the show can do better than what it's doing.

Aye...what yall think about Junior in this article:

JDS requests blood test for Overeem bout - Mixed Martial Arts Blog - ESPN

I agree with Dos Santos...but some of yall might think he seems, dare I say, scared.

Why would JDS be scared of Overeem? Overeem's got a glass chin. JDS by KO easy if and when they fight.
