lol. I'm not mad either way. Should be a good fight. I don't really like Bendo or Pettis anymore. I used to be a big fan of worth. Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if Grant beats both of them in the future.

pettis finally got what he wanted
shyt is way too convenient right now. First Dan, then zigano, and now grant. Why are fighters mysteriously getting injured that somehow always results in a better fight business wise. Sucks because grants size and power would have been a nightmare for ben. I don't see Pettis having a shot at bendo. It will be the Guida fight on overkill. Grant will get erik koch'd and never receive a title shot now.
And fukk pettis btw. Dude is feeling himself too much right now. First with the whole "grant needs to drop out because I'm a bigger name/its my hometown" spiel to basically saying josh thompson was nobody when they were trying to match those two before grants injury. Its going to be hilarious because once bendo beats him, I guarantee he will try to drop to 145 and think he will get a title shot off top and Dana will go

what makes u think bendo is going to beat him? most people have anthony winnin their first fight 3-2 rounds but you can arguably say anthony won 4-1 rounds..he was the quicker fighter and landed way more clean shots than bendo, i think in the rematch its going to be more of the same..bendo hasnt really SHINED in the ufc...his two wins against frankie were debatable..i personally think melendez beat him...he beat the fukk out out of nate diaz who doesnt really have a strong takedown defense..thats about it
i got the pettis/bendo original recording still in my DVR, i've watched that fight damn near 20 times and every single time i can clearly see pettis was the better fighter
i still remember watching it live, and when bendo took pettis back and neck i thought it was over, but pettis prevailed and escaped...then when bendo came in for a takedown pettis hit him with a perfect flying knee
A LOT of people didnt catch that...thats how fast it was
then of course later in the fight he caught him with the legendary
i got pettis by tko by at least the 3rd round, that nikka is the truth...he already know what bendo is about...easy

^^Yeah, I think Pettis has a very good chance of becoming the new champion. People point to the Guida fight as some kind of indictment of Pettis, but his takedown defense isn't really bad and Bendo isn't the type of fighter who is going to take him down and just lay there for control. In the 1st fight they had, Pettis was very good at avoiding the takedown or scrambling and threatening with submissions and he is the better striker.
Don't think he gets a finish as Bendo is really tough to do so against, but a decision win is a possibly. If the sequel is anything like the original we all win as fans

Pettis was suppose to be out six weeks with that knee and now he is coming back three weeks earlier with a short camp. Don't like those odds. And the only questionable fight of Bendo's reign was the second Edgar fight

Stephens, who has average wrestling at best, was able to control pettis for a round. I'm not saying bendo is going to GSP him, but given pettis's struggles with grapplers in the UFC and coming off a knee injury, don't see why you bet against bendo

A 5 rd fight is going to benefit Pettis because that is more time for him to land a deadly strike and work if he gets taken down for a rd. Ben sometimes can be less active and I can see a scenario where Pettis just puts out more offense to get the decision. The knee injury is questionable, but he had a long layoff before he fought Cowboy and crushed him. I see it as a pick-em fight.
