A decade ago Jones was talkin about retiring in his early 30... and that turned into him signing an 8 fight deal in his mid-30s :dead:

It makes sense now. Even during his peak (coked out legal trouble) era, he wasn't getting paid shyt for the few times he actually managed to fight.

Silva got paid 3mil per bout vs Diaz, Bisping, and Weidman 1 (got 4mil for Weidman 2)... while Jones got 1.1 mil for going life n death vs Gustafasson, in which Jones was already established.

His goat-status aside, part of me is actually surprised Silva got paid that much, given he was a non-american, poor-english speaking, dark-skinned breh from brazil
