Nothing to gain? Why? Hes not in line for a title shot anytime soon. He record may say W but everyone including Silva/Dana will view that fight as a loss. Why not fight Machida again to prove them wrong? Who else is left since all the top contenders are busy? A washed Shogun or Hendo? Evans who already outclassed him? He needs vindication

Say he faces machida and circumvents the unified rules to win another 3 round contest then what? he'll have another win over the same fighter with dana/fans having their opinion but he'll still be in the same position as he was before the fight.Its just a stupid move to take the fight like hes some charitable chap. All he needs is a win over a contender and they serve him to jones. Dont act like jones aint starving for different opponents

He 'beat' Machida. Like GOD 2.0 said, 90% of the MMA community scored the fight for Machida, it was an obvious robbery. The fights you mentioned were close fights [except Bendo/Edgar I, which was clearly Bendo, but it was semi-close]. I don't remember who I scored in the Griffin/Rampage fight, but I had Bendo winning both Edgar fights [the second one being pretty damn close].

shyts crazy. i woulda told dude it was a mostly forgettable match besides the 2 times machida got taken down and punched in the face/body. i guess im thankful no hillbillies from sherdog or what have u were charged with calling this fight, and professionals were..

that comment kind of reminds me of the kanye/taylor incident wgere the racist media made the link to race just cuz kanye said a fellow blacks video was superior to their lily white princess's all i did was cite 2 other close fights that divided opinions and all u see is race

You honestly think if that fight happened again and it was similar Davis would get a UD? That were those once in a lifetime gifts from the judges. Its not charitable its proving the 90% of the community wrong be proving you are elite. Like I said he is not one opponent away from a shot. They will go with glover and then cormier. And after that dana will try to convince him to move up/superfight. It will be well over a year until he is at the very least mentioned for a title shot

I didn't see the fight, so I don't have an opinion of my own about the actual fight, I just know (from what I've seen) Machida is a better fighter than Davis by a decent margin. Also, I can't even imagine Forrest Griffin beating Rampage lol.

Undecided right now. This match was being made for I think about (45 days maybe. I can't remember exactly. I was told about it a little while ago. It was after they tried to make Vitor VS Tim Kennedy (which thank god Vitor declined. Horrible fight. It was also after Mousasi wasn't cleared to be back until late Dec. early Jan. So ignore a lot of those ducking comments you see.) From what I was told Vitor did want Chael but the Arena was all booked and set in motion so i didn't matter anyways)

I like the fight myself. I think Vitor is going to knock Hendo out.
