If your reaction is because of Thomson getting a title shot, you have to realize that him and Dos Anjos were the only logical options available.

Aldo is still injured and wouldn't be ready in time for the FOX show. Plus I imagine if they did do that fight, they would want to put it on ppv.
No love for Melendez? I'd rather see Gil vs Pettis than Thomson.

Hes fighting Diego next month. Wouldn't make sense to give him the fight since hes coming off a loss over Thompson who finished Diaz on the same night. Plus Thompson hasn't fought since May
I want Pettis to be Thomson (who I can't stand) and then Gilbert to take that belt from Pettis. I'd bet the give Grant the next shot though. I doubt he loses it. We'll see. I could see Thomson beating Pettis. I have it pretty even with Pettis being the 60/40 favorite.

Melendez just recently had his shot at the title and lost. Believe me, I prefer a Pettis/Melendez match-up as well.
Melendez beat Thomson though. Unless you mean he's coming off a loss against Bendo.

Aldo was right about Mendes not doing enough to earn a fight. Why is he facing cans like lentz? Everyone wants to see him against a top guy like swanson. Hell even poirer makes more sense
