Bellator was cool Friday, I think Pitbull beats Wilcox in the FW tourney finals. Rickels put a beating on his opponent.

Invicta finally announced their next show for December, features 3 title fights at 135, 125, and 115

The full card includes:
  • Champ Barb Honchak vs. Leslie Smith - for flyweight title
  • Champ Carla Esparza vs. Claudia Gadelha - for strawweight title
  • Lauren Murphy vs. Miriam Nakamoto - for inaugural bantamweight title
  • Felice Herrig vs. Tecia Torres
  • Joanne Calderwood vs. Katja Kankaanpaa
  • Julia Budd vs. Charmaine Tweet
  • Zoila Frausto Gurgel vs. Vanessa Porto
  • Tonya Evinger vs. Kelly Kobold
  • Nina Ansaroff vs. Munah Holland

very excited for this fight, unfortunately, murphy is gonna end up on nakamotos ko highlight reel. if nakamoto wins impressive like her other fights and don't get a call from dana :smh: she's the real fukkin deal, hands down the best standup from any women mma fighter i've ever seen.

I think I heard on sherdog that she isn't really interested in the UFC for some reason. I know she does/did Muy Thai and seems to be happy in Invicta. I would love to see her in the UFC though.

I peeped the highlights, it is only a matter of time before she is in the UFC. I know she wanted to get some fights before making the move, she has another fight scheduled soon and I could see her making the move after that. She is a skilled boxer and her stand-up is at another level than pretty much every female fighter. Working at Jackson's her ground game should be coming along, but she hasn't been tested there.

This fight is going to be a replay of their 2nd fight. Cain fights smart and adjusts. I don't see the adjustments in JDS's camp.

This is what I see when I see JDS's doctors taking his blood:

And him wearing a heart rate monitor. He surrounded himself with people that are giving him false confidence.

This dude, Jack Slack does an incredible job of breaking down the fight with Cain: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1811628-killing-the-king-cain-velasquez

JDS needs to stop it and just hire this guy into his camp. I don't agree with Jack Slack's suggestion to counter with a knee though. JDS isn't that fleet footed. He's not going to land it and he's going to end up on his back. Really bad position against a GnP monster like Cain. I love his suggestion of using the blinding jab to set up a counter but instead I think JDS could surprise Cain by throwing the blinding jab and then shoot forward a hard straight elbow. The elbow would cover him up against Cain's attack and also could cause huge damage because Cain will be shooting forward when they're in each other's punching range. The fact that Cain is coming forward will make the impact so much harder.

JDS vs Cain is the same fight as the 1st one, and same as the 2nd. You got a great wrestler against a great boxer. If JDS cn get that 1 clean shot b4 Cain then he wins like the 1st time. If Cain neutralizes JDS boxing with his wrestling, grappling, gnp he will wear out JDS and land sum shots and win.

The difference is that Cain won't stand with JDS. He knows not to do that. You saw it in the 5 rounds in the 2nd fight. Cain stands outside JDS's range and then attacks with punches coming in and shoots in.

There were a few moments in the 2nd fight that JDS could've done something interesting. JDS a few times showed his back against the cage. It baited Cain in and JDS threw a sneaky elbow uppercut with his back to Cain. It caught Cain but wasn't hard enough. That's a technique I feel someone like Anderson Silva could knock someone out with. If I was in JDS's camp, I'd tell JDS to sharpen that technique because it was there many times. It just wasn't strong enough. A hard elbow shot can totally change the fight.
