if overeem beats Mir, than Overeem vs Dos Santos should happen next considering they were supposed to fight anyway

i would prefer to see a Reem vs Nelson fight next, win or lose for Reem. if he can't hit a big slow target in front of em like Nelson they he has no right even competing in the UFC with or witout steroids. Let the winner face JDS and let JDS have an extended rest, good lord his body and face needs it after his last 2 matches. maybe do a lil mini tournment between nelson, reem, big nog and gonzaga. Just to help build sumthin outta da middle to late rankings in the HW division.

intresting comments from Barnett :leon:

"People can say what they want, but this is what I see, and this is what I know as a professional fighter," Barnett said in an interview with MMAFighting.com. "Junior threw on this nasty front choke, with a sleeper-style lockup on it, which is super-tight. Cain's a wrestler. If you try to front choke him or front headlock him in any way, there's a whole myriad of things he's going to do.

"So he gets locked into that thing, he was getting choked, and he spun. Because that's your last-ditch resort to getting out of that move. And that's why Junior planted his head right into the mat, because of that spin. The reasoning behind Cain hitting that spin like that is that he was being threatened. And then when Junior spiked his head right into the mat, which is a gnarly sensation, he was done."

what treacherous snake

:why::comeon:So you're supposed to let a friendship stop you from becoming champion?

I still can't believe that Anderson for a good period of time said that he wouldn't fight Jon Jones because they're 'good friends'.
:ld: dont think so, the time when this fight was money has kind of sailed

If Anderson gets his belt back [which he will], a Machida/Silva match-up would be the biggest fight to make. This is assuming Machida gets one more solid win in the mean time.

Maybe its me but I get the sense anderson aint psychologically ready for the grind again.Hes just about money now, i imagine hes entering the weidman fight like "if i win i win, if i lose i lose thats it"

Just because Machida is willing to fight Anderson, he doesn't have integrity? Machida is one of the most respectful, humble and well-mannered fighters in MMA.

I hope not, I want to see him retire with the belt.

At this point, I may roll with Machida if he was to ever fight Anderson. Not saying he would destroy him, but I don't see anyone stopping him from getting towards the top of the division. Low key, some middleweights are probably scared right now lol

I keep hearing Belfort's name come up as a potential challanger for Lyoto...that fight would be fireworks

Tough match-up for Machida, Anderson has the better striking and chin. Machida would need to use his size/strength advantage along with his striking to keep Anderson guessing. I think Anderson wins 8/10 times.
