tough fight to call. chandler/alvarez 3? sounds good to me.

and yeah, although he beat king mo twice, newton is pretty meh. let's be real, he wouldn't even come close to being champion in the ufc. tdd, spam spinning shyt, rinse and repeat.

You're being generous breh. He would have a losing record in the UFC and wouldn't come close to cracking the top 10.

Damn. Those knee surgeries really robbed Mo of his gifts athletically. His gas tank was always suspect but yikes Newton is a journeyman no matter how you slice it and Mo should have been able to light him up. Sad really.

Not mad at the Alverez decision. I hate when people boo after close fights.

Strauss looked good, fluid transitions and mixed up his attack effectively, a real nice performance by him

King Mo/Newton was :shaq2:, shyt was barely above the caliber of a fight I'd expect to see on TUF. Sad to say for a young guy but I think Mo's best days are behind him in MMA, he looked stiff and lacks the explosiveness we've seen him show in the past

Main event was terrific, not as good as the first fight and I wouldn't label it a classic as I've seen written in some places but definitely an entertaining fight. I had Alvarez winning, taking rounds 2-3-5, 2nd round was key, very close round though I saw the scorecard and it seems the judges split the 3rd round.

I'm all for having strong secondary promotions and hope Bellator can achieve success but I want to see both of these guys in the UFC, just too many great fights that could be made

fukk you Tito chants :heh:

He's been relatively terrible since the staff infection and really I think he peeked around the Mousasi fight. He was once a bright prospect but his increasingly bad cardio, which was never that good, will always be a liability .
i was never sold on mo, his claim to fame was beating up bums in japan. But when you sifted through the forced flamboyance his striking style/stance was horrendous. And when his wrestling gets negated hes basically done. Even tho i :dj2: with the decision in the mousasi fight he basically lost the fight but won the contest.Mousasi lit him up from the bottom whilst he just held on for dear life in top control. Was he coming off a staff injury in the ferojo fight too? cuz i think that was the first time the genie was out of the bottle on his limitations

Just finished watching Bellator 106, Chandler/Alvarez 2 was :gladbron:, thought Chandler won but I won't bytch, great scrap.

King Mo is officially :flabbynsick:. I dunno if the knee is totally shot, but he was awful. Newton isn't anything special and Mo was soundly beaten.

I think King Mo is done....Bellator was really counting on him to be a huge star, but so far he hasn't lived up to expectations and I don't think he will. I still wanna see Mo vs Rampage just for the fukkery and the build up.

Still need to check out Alvarez/Chandler 2.....I forgot Bellator was on yesterday. Was out getting drunk and forgot to dvr it

There you go, 25 fighters better than Newton.

Cane really?

Newton= Maldonado. Nothing to really suggest otherwise if you look at their records and peep their fighting styles. Pokrajac is around the same level.

And Vera really is terrible. He cannot win a fight in the UFC and would struggle in Bellator too.

Cane is the better striker and has the better ground game. Pokrajac is a better striker with more power, he finishes Newton.

Vera would beat Newton though :heh: he's a much better striker. Plus, Vera has faced 10x the competition Newton has. Bellator's LHW division is awful, Vera would beat most of them.

Vera is not a better striker or fighter at this point. He was tagged repeatedly by molasses slow Rothwell right hands, walked into uppercuts and realistically lost to Marshall. He hasn't come close to looking presentable in literally 4 years.

Cane is not a good striker period. He literally must have contralateral neglect because anyone who fights him in the southpaw stance absolutely kills him. I've never seen anything like it.

Pokrajc is about equal to Newton in the standup and more predictable. He's not finishing him, Newton has a chin and decent enough footwork.
