you are talkin sloppy stuff just correcting u

you are making out like this a uriah cali type deal franklin's name doesnt command anything at this juncture. Most UFNs these days are basically expanded facebook pre-lims he aint going to bring anything no more than a mark coleman would cincy or no cincy.. what part of 'franklin intimating he wants to go out with 1 more fight & dana saying franklin can do what he likes' didnt you understand? :leon:

I'm sorry I didn't know you worked in the offices of Zuffa. Do you have some internal polling that says fans would not care if Franklin fought his last fight in his hometown? And Franklin at this stage is a FN fighter so why not give him the fight? I don't understand why you are against this. And no where in what you posted do I interpret that as UFC not wanting to give Franklin a fight. Matter of fact, I interpret that as Franklin can fight when he wants, when he wants, against whom(if its reasonable) he wants, which is what all the latest links online say about Franklin. You have a link or article that says differently. If you just don't like Franklin, say it. But stop passing your opinions as fact. You dont live in Cincy(nor the states for that matter) so stop speaking on things you don't know

I'm surprised they didn't create that TUF for 105lb just to get her.

brah what are u arguing the proof is in the pudding, if there wasnt something awry obviously franklin would've been offered a fight by now.Hes doing some juice bar business, so when dana says he can do what he likes thats short of saying "thx for your years of service, enjoy your life as a juice bar entrepreneur buddy" If thats a company dude like hughes or liddell that doesnt happen..As for your other comment its not that they wouldnt care I just dont think franklin's involvement is as crucial to moving the needle in this day and age :ld:

Thats still no proof that Dana doesn't want him to fight again. Like I said, provide proof of this or :camby: LOL@you really thinking Dana is mad because he has some juice bar side business going on. The fact is, he still has one more fight on his deal. He should have been on this card. No on s saying he should jump start the middle weight division or co main big PPV. I'm just saying why is that so hard for you to understand? Which leads me to believe you are arguing for the fukk of it so I will leave it at that

And you still haven't given me a link saying this is the case. You are just going by assumptions.

dont know if you are playing a part but its time to break character, if a supposed future hall a famer is practically (not so subtlety) hinting that he has one more fight in him and you then proceed to not only sandbag his request (by replying without actually replying) but then booking a fight night in his backyard without the fighters involvement I think thats conclusive.Dude is going to be 40 and is healthy but has been on the schnide for a year and 4 months. You dont need it spelt out in bold lettering to know ufc are forcing him into retirement

I couldn't read all these post but i can tell you with absolute 100% certainty that there's no beef between UFC and Rich Franklin. Rich just told them he doesn't want to take a fight just to take it. He wants to have time to get back in shape and then know who his opponent will be and then have a full camp. The UFC completely supports it. They were actually just at Rich's juice bar a few weeks ago to support him. Rich informed them of his timetable for a fight and wants it around Oct/Nov.

Rich is a HUGE name in Ohio. He's fought there a few times. He's probably a bigger hometown draw than almost any American fighter.

According to a March 1 post from the Women's MMA Discussion Facebook group, UFC color commentator Joe Rogan says there's a huge announcement coming in the days ahead regarding Ronda Rousey's next fight.

Rogan, a well-respected UFC voice since the late-90s, wouldn't specify exactly what is next in store for Rousey, but he says it's going to be big news that will shake the landscape of women's MMA.

I will tell you this and this is a K-Rock exclusive. Within the next probably week or so, a huge announcement will come about women's fighting and I'll be back in and we'll talk some more.

Rogan went on to say that the announcement would be crazy and a huge shocker, so he made it seem as though the UFC has something wacky in store for the fans.

He hinted that the casual fan knows who might be next for Rousey, but he wouldn't say if her upcoming opponent is currently ranked in the top ten in the world at bantamweight.

The way Rogan said it, it didn't seem like Alexis Davis or Cat Zingano would be next up for Rousey.

One day after Rogan's radio comments came out, Dave Meltzer reported on Observer Radio that the UFC might be looking into a fight between Rousey and former MMA star Gina Carano, for a card on July 4th weekend.

Meltzer said that he believes the big announcement Rogan was speaking about might not be a clash between Rousey and Cris "Cyborg" Santos, but one between the star judoka and the former face of women's MMA.

Santos needs to make 135 pounds a few times, so she might not have the chance to fight Rousey until the end of 2014.

Analysis: The UFC desperately needs a high-selling pay-per-view card for its annual July 4th weekend show, and most of their current champions are expected to be out of commission at that time.

Middleweight champ Chris Weidman is already set for a fight this summer against Lyoto Machida, Robbie Lawler fights Johny Hendricks for the welterweight strap this March, and Jon Jones puts his light heavyweight belt on the line this April.

With that said, Rousey is the only UFC champion who might be available for the July show.

The casual fan would definately be more jazzed about Rousey vs Carano than they would about "Rowdy" vs Davis or Zingano, even if the fight would be less competitive.

Chances are, Rousey would finish Carano in the first round.

However, Carano was out of the game anyways for five years, so she probably doesn't really care at this point about anything other than making a UFC appearance.

It wouldn't really tarnish her legacy to lose to Rousey, since most fans assume she would lose anyways. At the end of the day, this fight should happen because it would sell a lot of pay-per-views and generate a lot of interest in the UFC.
