Ellenberger is at 5 and he's 2 and 2 lately. He had one of the worst fights ever with Rory and got knocked out cold in his other. Tyron has won two in a row. One against Kos who has lost 3 and the other against Condit after a leg injury. Lawler got his show after three wins. 2 were Kos and Bobby Voelker.

It's not like anyone did some crazy shyt to earn those spots. Stun Gun has done more than a lot of those guys but he doesn't get moved up because he's not friends with the media that votes and isn't from a country with a lot of voting members like the other guys.

Winning 7 fights in a row is hard as fukk. and he's FINISHED 6 of 7. That's pretty crazy. Plus Thomson, Mein, Pyle, and Silva are legit fighters.

The only person that i think would deserve the shot more would be Rory with a good win.

To me Rory,Kim,Woodley,Lombard all deserve shots before Brown. And dont get me wrong I aint saying brown fought bums but they are not killers..

And I feel you on Stun gun..shyts fukked up.

I feel brown getting passed lombard or stun gun can warrant a title shot.

Hendricks is recovering from surgery, so the division has time to clear itself out. The next shot should go to the winner of MacDonald/Woodley, then the winner of Lombard/TBA or Brown/TBA could get the next possible shot (if the winner of MacDonald/Woodley looks mediocre, give it to Lombard or Brown, assuming they win their next fight).

To me Rory,Kim,Woodley,Lombard all deserve shots before Brown. And dont get me wrong I aint saying brown fought bums but they are not killers..

Any other circumstance I would agree 100% with you. But in UFC murky future with no stars, shaky cards, and low buyrates, I would not be opposed to him getting a title shot. I mean guys with lower streaks get it. Look at LHW for example. The road to a title shot goes through Ryan Bader apparently. Brown made himself into a legit star after this fight and the UFC needs to capitalize on it. Now of course he needs to fight again since Hendricks is injured and Lombard seems the most logical choice(and I believe Brown would win if he survives Lombard early onslaught/keeps out of the clinch) But if Hendricks wasn't injured, fukk it give him the shot. I guarantee it would draw more then Hendricks/Roy or Hendricks/Woodley

Johny could realistically be back in late September so they wouldn't really need to give Brown another fight if they wanted to give him a shot (I don't think they're going to give him one).

If they have him fight another guy they'd have to push the championship back to almost late Nov and they have no PPV scheduled for that to work.

The only way to have it a bit earlier would be to straight out give it to the winner of Woodley VS Rory (which i think they will due to the declining Canadian market, assuming Rory wins.)

I don't know where they would hold the fight though. The PPV's all have venues up to 181 , except for 177 which will probably be in August (too early for Johny).

So I think their plan right now is Rory VS Hendricks in Canada assuming Johny agrees to it. Because they have no headliner for that card.

you never use another division as an example to illustrate your point because as one knows different weightclasses have different rules regarding paths to title.I mean there was a time HW just needed 1 good win and boom...Whereas lws would need 3-4 good wins just to be in the mix so apples oranges

Great performance by Brown, but if he crumbled like that under the pressure of a youngin like Silva, he will have even more problems facing Lombard, with Olympic level judo and stupidly fast and heavy hands. Those middle kicks nearly RUINED him.

That being said, I would be hyped to see either face Hendricks' high level wrestling and truck hands

A UFC bantamweight bout between three-time title contender Urijah Faber and Alex Caceres has been verbally agreed to for UFC 175 on July 5.

ESPN.com confirmed the 135-pound contest with UFC officials on Wednesday. The fight will take place on the main card of the UFC 175 pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

Faber (30-7) is coming off a TKO loss to Renan Barao in the first round of a title fight at UFC 169 in February. It was the first time Faber had been stopped since a TKO loss to Mike Brown at WEC 36 in November 2008.

Prior to the loss, Faber, 35, had won four in a row. He is 6-3 overall in the UFC, with three losses occurring in title fights. He is the No. 2 ranked bantamweight in the world, according to ESPN.com.

A former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter, Caceres (10-5) enters the bout on a four-fight win streak. An additional win over Kyung Ho Kang in March 2013 was changed to a no-contest when he tested positive for marijuana.

Caceres, 25, scored a third-round submission win over Sergio Pettis in January.

According to sources, he specifically asked the UFC to fight Faber next.

A middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida is scheduled to headline UFC 175, which takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
