Nate Diaz is a ready to fight.

Diaz contacted MMAFighting.com Friday night to say that he would like to fight the streaking Matt Brown next at 170 pounds.

"I want the Matt Brown fight," Diaz said. "That's what I'm looking for. I'm trying to fight the baddest motherf**kers out there. I'm not trying to fight some lame ass fighter that they're trying to build off of me.

"My brother is retired. So if this guy wants to fight a Diaz, he's got to fight me."

Following Brown's win over Erick Silva last weekend, his seventh in a row, some began to clamor for him to fight Nick Diaz next, however, Diaz appears, at least for now, to be content in retirement.

Nate Diaz, though, last fought in November when he defeated Gray Maynard via first-round TKO. He recently told MMAFighting.com that he was unhappy with his current UFC contract, and since then the UFC has removed him from their official rankings.

MMAFighting.com contacted Brown via his wife, however, they have yet to respond to Diaz's request.

NO

Nate got tooled and ragdolled by a few guys at 155 already

the immortal would beat the piss out of him. It'd be a bad match to make regardless tho. A win against nate at this point aint worth much more than the silva win

it doesn't make any sense for the ufc (or either fighter, really) but for the fans...come on...a brown/diaz fight would be fukking awesome.

i could wrong, he might just be wrestled to fukked to death...but i have a feeling rampage is gonna put mo to sleep. :yeshrug:

Agreed, although it does make sense for Nate (matches up well with Brown, a win over a WW contender would shoot his stock up considerably and he really doesn't really have anything to lose) and to an extent, the UFC (very exciting fight and we get to see Nate fight again). I highly doubt Brown takes this fight or the UFC allows it.

Brown is not a wrestler. Nate would do fine against Brown brawling style of striking

This bellator card is trash btw. They are not ready for PPV at all imo. Companies with better, more stacked cards then this have bombed on PPV. I guess its good to have Viacom money tho

It's not as popular as the UFC would lead you to believe, but it's still decently popular in Brazil. Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort are widely known in Brazil, especially Anderson who's probably the second most popular active athlete in the country.

brown would do to nate what he did to wonderboy thompson..just wrestlefukk and ground and pound the shyt out of him.I dont want to see a diaz unless its Nick but dude retired.

Thompson is not a BBJ guy so Brown had no problems taking him down. He wouldn't do that to Diaz. Silva almost submitted him in their fight. Diaz only got thrased by big grapplers like Rory(whos bigger then the majority of dudes at 170) and Stun Gun(judo black belt) I think Diaz is capable against a guy like Brown
