those are prob the only fights you seen man..Cain has 13 wins and 1 loss..11 of those wins are by KO/TKO most of them not past the 1st round..you hating just to hate.

But, but, but Cain smothers his opponent and never attempts to go for anything. He cruises to victory. Those 11 finishes? Let me just ignore the facts and continue to spew bullshyt.

The Last of the Outlaws
The Jon Jones-DanavWhite-Alexander Gustafsson-Daniel Cormier melodrama continued unabated Wednesday.

One day after Jones, the UFC light heavyweight champion and MMA's best pound-for-pound fighter, dropped a brief-but-pointed online message making his opinions clear, White stated his case during an interview with the Albuquerque Journal.

The UFC boss is standing firm in his belief Jones should defend his title in a rematch against Gustafsson, whom Jones defeated at UFC 165 last September, instead of the undefeated Cormier.

"Gustafsson's next in line," White said. "Even Cormier said, ‘Listen, I hope this whole things works out for me and I get the shot, but even I believe that Gustafsson deserves the next shot.' [Gustafsson is] the No. 1 contender, he's waited for this rematch and [Cormier] even agrees."

As for Jones' insistence on fighting Cormier first, White frames it in terms of turning down a fight the fans want to see.

"As soon as [Jones] starts to build some steam and starts to become the star that you think he can be, he comes out and doesn't want to fight somebody," White said. "You're the champion, you're the pound-for-pound best guy in the world, and he says he wants to be known as the best ever. Well, you don't turn down opponents, you know what I mean? You've got to fight all the best in the world, anyway. You're the man; everybody's gunning for you."

If nothing else, White isn't letting business cloud his perception of Jones' fighting skills. With Renan Barao's convincing loss to T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 173, you will no longer hear White claim someone besides Jones as the pound-for-pound best.

"When Renan Barao was undefeated for 32 fights and nine years and everything else, there was some debate there," White said. "There's no debate now. Jon Jones is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

I don't think Renan had an argument over Jones as this imaginary P4P thing other than how long it had been since he lost. Look at WHO and how Jon has won his fights, hate the kid or debate where cats were prime wise but look at his victim list and it's a who's who. His argument for the P4P blah blah was approaching Anderson's even before the Weidman loss IMO

I've always been a fan of GSP's but isn't what Jones wants to do by fighting Cormier the same thing that GSP did when was allowed to have his "grudge match" with Diaz who was coming off a loss mind you over fighting Hendricks who was at that time damn near killing everyone he came across in that cage. Dana was saying "GSP has earned the right to ask for favors". Hasn't Jones also earned the right to pick within reason

(an undefeated Olympian should surely be a reasonable request )

being that he's the biggest star there arguably

I'll be glad when this lil spat is over and we have a date lined up

Joe Rogan about Vitor:

They did it to Vitor…random drug test. And Vitor was on testosterone. That's the reason that testosterone got banned in the first place. The whole thing went down when Vitor tested positive with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, after that. Before that, they were considering him for a testosterone exemption….And because he tested positive they scrapped the whole testosterone program

It was more the UFC/Dana wanted Nick/GSP than GSP wanting Nick. And that fight was the money fight to make.

I'm not a fan of Dana's tactics, but Jones just needs to fight Gus and end all this.

I've never said GSP is an exciting fighter, but I have said that Bendo has been in his fair share of exciting fights.

Finding somebody entertaining is subjective, so you calling Cain not exciting is :manny: But, spewing bullshyt about his style and fights is what I have a problem with.

I don't wanna hear anything else from either Dana, Gus or Jon until the ink is dry on the contract and the venue is set.

this whole pound for pound bullshyt needs to stop
honestly the only fighters who should be mentioned are fighters who compete and win in more than one weight class, and right now Cormier and vitor ate the top two who come to mind who are currently active

He is choosing someone else.

yeah and that someone happens to be an ex olympian/ heavyweight who is undefeated with victims such as mir, barnett, nelson and henderson on his list. Its the more dangerous fight, cormier has as much right being the bonifide number 1 contender as gus if not more so.I mean losing a title fight and just needing to beat manuwa to get a shot again is :patrice: peeps are just so thirsty to see the rematch to call bullshyt

how can you be arguably the biggest draw, greatest thing going in the sport today and champion but not have the right to choose you you want to face? :why:

:childplease: So I guess the Heat should have just got to pick who they played in the Finals too, huh? This isnt boxing. The UFC is a league and they are who should be pickin/makin fights, not the fighters.

if Gus would've fought Cormier earlier this year and won, then jon would have no choice but to fight him

Cormier said he got no problem fighting gus

cormier was on the fox show after jons beat glover and basically told him to use his pull to get him the shot
and when chael tried to cut him off he told him to shut off before he comes across the table

cormier is 35 years old, he knows he doesn't have much time in sport, so he wants a shot while he's still at top of his game

plus gus has never even beaten a contender, the best guy he faced was Phil Davis, and he lost

he should at least have to beat cormier before getting another title shot

Why would the UFC have Cormier and Gus fight though? All that would do is make sure that 1 of 2 huge fights they can do right now wont happen. They both deserve title shots and nobody else in the division is touchin either of them right now, so he's gonna be fighting both of them either way. The only reason I can see that he's makin a big deal about which one goes first is because he's ready to go to HW and is only plannin on doin 1 more fight at 205 and wants to get through Cormier before he moves up. To me thats the only logical explanation other than to say he's straight duckin Gus. And even if he is goin to HW now, he might still be duckin him. He has been talkin about movin up for a couple years now though
