-Cavalcante Had some decent hype, went to DREAM and all that stopped. Than Thomson fought him in Strikeforce and got the decision.
-Healy became somewhat of a beast in Strikeforce, but when Thomson fought him he wasn't there yet. Ever since coming to the UFC this dude has done NOTHING except for screw up his marquee win over Jim Miller and is now on a 3 fight losing streak.
-KJ Noons has always been a one dimensional striker, never been a top 15 lightweight period.

Thomson definitely lost to Benson imo. Thomson's only offensive production was takedowns, where he would take Benson's back repeatedly but Benson was always able to get back to his feet, and a strike that briefly dropped Benson in the 5th. Benson outstruck him 114-33 over the 5 rd fight, (71-10 in rds 3 & 4) and had some takedowns of his own.

I'm not saying the dude isn't talented, I just think he is vastly overrated in that #3 spot. He's got one solid W against Nate Diaz. Dude needs to beat some more top 10 competition to justify his rank

I remember that fight, pretty sure Josh broke one of his hands and was waxing benson before doing so

benson should go up in weight class, let em headline free shows. u cant keep em at that weight class and ruining all the num1 contenders. Thats what sucked about Andersons run, at 1 point he ran outta top contenders cuz franklin as mashing dudes up waiting. Same thing Faber did when he cldnt beat Aldo, let em change weight classes and mk sum money for the company on free shows.

UFC light heavyweight Chael Sonnen has failed a random drug test in the state of Nevada and will not fight Vitor Belfort at UFC 175 on July 5.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission randomly tested Sonnen last month while he was in Las Vegas to attend a UFC news conference. Results confirmed the presence of two illegal substances, Anastrozole and Clomiphene.

NSAC chairman Francisco Aguilar confirmed the test results to ESPN.com on Tuesday.
