noway will mir win this fight. cormier has looked better in each fight an Mir is steadily on the decline. Mir has always had problems with top tier wrestlers with power.

When Cormier wins this fight he should fight Overeem for the #1 contender spot if Junior wins against Cain.

baring there are no injuries the ufc aint going to do that. They see dollar signs in overeem he'll just get a tune up fight and then JDS trust me.Besides if cain beats JDS, cormier aint going to want to go anywhere near the title :youngsabo:

I never really followed overeem pre Buentello. What is his chin like? cuz wouldnt it be funny if hunt could actually beat him

He's got a decent chin. Usually when he lost his cardio failed him and when that goes...........................

I haven't seen him get hit flush in a while which I attribute to K-1

no joke, put I would really wanna see Reem vs. Big Country. That fight would be best for Reem to check his chin and see how he would react if Nelson drops one of those one hitter quitter shots to Reem's chin. Even though Reem doesn't and never had a great chin, but if he can out-strike or avoid or take one of those one-hitter quitter's from Big Country. I'm sure Reem will find a way to win, but I honestly think that would be the best fight for Reem as a tune-up fight. Oh shyt, just found out Roy Nelson and Carwin are gonna be the next TUF coaches?:ehh: They both aren't really relevant in the division, but TUF hasn't been relevant anyways, so fukk it, I'm cool with them coaching. :yeshrug:

Mir and Cormier are fighting on a Strikeforce card...after the fight, the hvwt. division will be done away with in Strikeforce.

Melendez defends his title against Pat Healy on Sep. 29th. Sherdog reports that the Mir-Cormier fight might be the co-main event.

Vitor vs. Belcher at 53 in Brazil....that card is getting stacked.

Dana told FOX that if Shogun looks great against Vera...he becomes the no.1 contender:heh:...but if he doesn't, the winner of Machida-Bader gets the title shot if the victor looked better than a victorious Shogun did.:shaq2:

Somewhere, Gustaffson is crying.

None of this says much for the 205 division. Shogun should beat Vera, and Machida should beat Bader, so that would make the top two contenders Shogun and Machida ... both of whom Bones Jones has already beaten decisively.

Of course I'm assuming here that Jones beats Hendo.

205 is badly in need of new blood. I guess that would be Glover Teixeira, though.
