http://mmajunkie.com/2014/08/bobby-...-ufc-178-after-the-two-exchanged-words-online

Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal have history, and Green is anxious to get into the cage for a scheduled meeting at UFC 178. But he’s also got his eye on another lightweight standout: Norman Parke.

Green on Wednesday told MMAjunkie Radio that both Masvidal and Parke were disrespectful in previous run-ins.

Green (23-5 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was scheduled to meet Masvidal (27-8 MMA, 4-1 UFC) at an ill-fated Strikeforce event in November 2012. Beforehand, he said, Masvidal took a few shots at him online.

“I remember when I was going to fight him, I found his (social media) page and told him we were going to fight, and basically, he said some foul stuff,” Green said. “I don’t want to say his exact words, because I don’t know if you guys are going to play this. But he said something foul, and I was like, ‘OK, it’s on.’ I called him a Rick Ross wannabe, and we went at it through Facebook messaging.

“So it should be interesting to see if he’s going to be very vocal, because I still haven’t forgotten about that day. We still have some words. We’re going to finish what we started.”

Green said he saw Masvidal at UFC on FOX 12, where the two fought in separate bouts, but was too focused on his meeting with Josh Thomson (which he won via split call) and the recent loss of his brother to jump back into the beef.

Now it’s his job to rekindle the fire, and it appears his upcoming opponent is willing to help him in advance of the Sept. 27 show at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Main card fights air live on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.

Masvidal, who previously bested Daron Cruickshank and recently appeared on MMAjunkie Radio to talk about his upcoming bout, passed along a message to Green: “Keep your hands up, squirt.”

A slightly irritated Green responded, “What does that mean? You’re calling me a kid now? What do you mean by squirt? That sounds like a low-key low blow. Am I your son? Am I your child, for you to be calling me squirt?”

Later, Green added a little jab of his own. Asked about potentially leading off the pay-per-view card, he said, “it just depends on how they feel about the weight of our fight. I think they think I come to fight. I think Masvidal comes to fight … sometimes.”

With Parke, the slight was far more obvious to Green. He said he responded to a Twitter message wishing him good luck on his fight with Thomson and the Irish fighter misread it as directed toward him.

“Well, there’s certain things you don’t call a man,” Green said. “You never call a man a female, you never talk about a man’s wife or kids. So he just came out and said some things, where it’s like, you said these things to a man, you’re going to have to fight him. He’s going to crack you when he sees you. Now you ran your mouth, and now I want to test you.

“This is when I first came into the UFC. I felt like I was getting picked on. (Donald) Cerrone is the same way. Cerrone was picking on me at the UFC Fan Expo, like I was a little nobody, and here in his big world. He was doing a bunch of stuff. Fight words, bro. And this is my first expo, so I didn’t want to make waves. I just ate the bullet, put it in my pocket. But when the time is right, and if I come into the spotlight and get the opportunity, I’ll pull it back out of my pocket.”

Or, get ready to remove the chips on his shoulders. Right now, Green seems to have quite a few of them.

yup. its about the same price as a plane tho, since the airlines decided to lower their prices to compete with it. :lolbron:
I'd still pick the train, it might be an hour or 2 slower but at least you don't have to go through that 1 hour before check time, and security searches like the airport.
plus you get to see some nice scenery. :manny:
