Weidman isn't a star, but Vitor is a relatively big name. Weidman/Vitor would easily pull more numbers than Jacare/Weidman, Mousasi/Weidman or any other potential MW title fight right now.

What part of Vitor has a following don't you understand? MMA heads make up a small portion of MMA fans, there are is a good number of casuals who want to see this fight.

i like how your are skirting the question, in the height of kimbo's fame he had a following and if coker sceduled a fedor fight for ppv casuals would've flocked and heads would've got paid doesnt make it any less of a meaningless fight that has no business for taking place. But whatever the fight will go down and usa will win, every1 will talk about chris being the p4p this and that all the while forgetting (in fighting years) vitor is 100 years old

Do I really have to spell this out for you? One challlenger has finished his last 3 oppo in the first and deserves a shot. The other challenger was barely an amateur. the crux of the topic was that it was a meaningless fight, u refuted that by acting on zuffas behalf and stating its the biggest money fight at mw the company cud make. My retort was that was beside the point cuz we aint seeing a cent of that money so whats in it for us to see what is essential a gimme fight. Then you tried to play the casual fan angle and thats when you lose your arguement because then you are basically saying there is no purpose for what is happening its just about money. Case in point chael sonnen getting an instant rematch for losing a title fight. Or being handed another shot a weight above for losing x2 to the mw champion in spectacular fashion. it is ridicolous matchmaking, u cant discount vitor's streak as "well he was on TRT" in one breath then use those wins to say "thats why this fight should happen but it better not be in brazil" in another. Which is basically the general feeling. Your buddy already anchored my point inadvertandly by putting a bow on this and mentioning "casuals" once that creeps into a discussion you know its a farce
Vitor's run to the MW title shot was not solely because he was on TRT. a large part of run, especially his three TKO's, is due to excellent technique. He earned his shot and whether it's going to be a one sided fight or not isn't the problem. Vitor earned his shot at the belt and just because he will draw more viewers isn't a reason to discredit him.
I don't speak for him. I'm talking about myself. How is a fighter on a 3 fight win streak where he impressively finished his opponents and has only lost twice since 2006(to the top p4p fighters at the time) going for the title ridiculous matchmaking? I don't discount anything. TRT or not he has looked impressive. The majority of fighters who were on TRT alongside him(Mir, Hendo, Sonnen) for the most part has looked like shyt so thats irrelevant. But lets not back away from your stupid comparison of how this is like Kimbo vs Fedor. Please explain that.
