While the ranking system isn't perfect, it's better than nothing. Your assertion that it might be flawed and imperfect--like weather prediction--doesn't mean the ranking is worthless and is of no value when it to the question of evaluating fighters. Online gaming systems aren't perfect either but they do a better job ranking players than human evaluators.

dude was there are ranking system when ufc was at its most profitable? yes or no?

to be honest i could give a rats ass but this convo originated from the proposed woodley/hector fight which i thought made no sense for lombard to take having already beaten marquart/shields. Then dude tried to use rankings and say this fight will get lombard a titleshot, when he knows fully well the ufc will only use rankings to justify a title shot if there is some momentum from the win. Woodley has not connected with fans and just showed everyone yet again he sux when all the marbles are on the line . Its a farce to think beating him is going to put anyone in a title picture especially now he lost to mcdonald
