Tim Steele desperately needs a manager and to link up with a tag team as his goon squad and then basically copy every heel moment from Nick Bockwinkle and Ric Flair's runs as AWA and NWA champs respectively. Making him an old school cheat all the time to protect his title champ is the only way this guy will work.

It would also be interesting to see if Corgan and Impact could work out whatever issues kept them from starting their working relationship as Corgan discussed in an interview earlier this month:

“We’ve made various overtures to Anthem along the way and they’ve made various overtures to me. We haven’t found anything that is ideal, and I’m a firm believer that if a deal doesn’t go both ways, then it’s not a good deal to make. If the NWA was going to be involved in some level with Anthem, we’d want it to be a good way all the way around.

We made a very aggressive offer in the last month to go in and help reboot the company. We’d have helped Impact stay more in the lane of the traditional Impact brand, and then set up the NWA as a natural rival, a la Raw versus SmackDown. Unfortunately, we didn’t get where we wanted with that offer.”

I would've stripped that dude of the belt and had him job in the 1st round of a title tournament for continuity's sake.

If Corgan was smart and realistic, he'd keep the NWA as a regional promotion with heavy use of social media to build up a rep. But I'm sure he's going to be chasing TV deals, ex WWE/TNA guys, shots in big cities and international tours. Live within your means.
This is what he said in the Sports Illustrated interview:
Our focus is on the NWA plan, and we have a 20-year plan,” said Corgan. “We’re not going to just come in and throw money around for two years. We’ve learned from the past mistakes of TNA, which we have intimate knowledge of.

Doesnt WWE have some weird open ended contract to use the NWA name from 97 that Cornette mentioned?

Looks like the plan is for him to pass the torch to the British guy from TNA.

I liked Magnus twice...when he was tagging with Samoa Joe and when he was doing the "ladies man" gimmick:

Tim storm is blown the fukk up even in that tiny ring, ten minutes in.

Alright if you want skip straight to the finish

so, they tried to do a double shoulders down pin...but they fukked it up bad....storm retains :francis: and tim storm clearly says fukk fukk fukk. :laff:

They're likely setting up for a rematch at a bigger event but who gives a shyt...nobody is checking for a Hollywood wrestling supercard....

Bad start.

Interesting approach they're taking. You don't see too many 52-year-old champs who ain't already famous.

They're not hiding his age, either. They even mentioned he was a grandfather in one of those videos. :francis:

It's easier to get away with having an old dude as your champ if it's somebody who had a good run in WWE, but if it's some unknown guy who looks like he installs furnaces for a living and they're keeping the belt on him for more than a couple shows, they'd better get creative with his character and plan something big for the eventual title switch.

No disrespect to Tim Storm. He looks to be in good shape for his age. But he also looks his age.

Yeah...tim storm is just...a dude. He has been the nwa champ for ages, because nobody cared. Now someone does, but its time to move on. To his credit, he does care about his craft, its clear. He stays "gym guy" fit, and the beginning of the match was a fine wrestling exhibition.

But, yeah, you gotta move on. I feel like corgan can find a teritorry that has the ability to book the swaggers/rybacks/cabanas/kennedys of the world, and put the belt on a name, to bulld a future star. This hollywood wrestling shyt aint it.

This youtube delivery method is at least working on me...low barriers to entry to watch and easy to monteize on a low level vs no tv deal

I watched all their build up videos. They actually did a great job with those I actually came out liking Storm but my god that match was a stinker.

They gotta get that belt off of him but Nick Aldis ain't the guy either he was slow and clumsy himself and he lacks clout for a wrestler who's had many accolades as he does.

The attempt at a fight forever chant:russ:
