I agree that’s they should’ve had a fresh young heel fighting against Storm...but Aldis can now take the title somewhere else on the web series.
He’s a much better heel champion/representative than Jocephus that’s for sure
The web series will get a fresh reboot. Now we get Aldis’ story, we get Tim Storm babyface chasing the title (which is THE story arch of wrestling) and hopefully this introduces some more characters.

It'll be interesting to see who the Champion winds up being by the time NWA rolls into weekly television, whenever that is. That they're doing all this without a roster is pretty cool. Lean and agile.

Yeah, his matches sucked, but the web series was so good and really made you root for him.
Aldis ain't The Guy, but it's not like there's any options to make the NWA title really mean something right now. At least he can provide better quality matches.

TNA isn't even the problem here. Aldis is just boring. The stench of TNA hasn't held back AJ Styles, it hasn't held back Joe or Roode (WWE booking is doing that), ROH's roster has a noticeable amount of TNA guys and they're allegedly having their best year business wise. Aldis just sucks. He isn't a good enough character worker to create a buzz nor is he going to put on the sort of matches to create a buzz either. His only value is the fact that he's a TNA guy.
Well, AJ and Joe are two of the best guys of the past 17 years in the ring, and Joe had that stench on him and had to work to get it off and regain his aura and work. Roode would still have that if he didn't have the entrance theme. Magnus literally has nothing to his name besides TNA and GFW besides some UK indies before the scene blew up and local indies + HOH post TNA. And it's not like his TNA run was memorable or anything. Last I remember he was playing like 4th fiddle as champion to Dixie and a few of her lackeys, while being booked like an absolute chump who couldn't win a match on his own to save his life.

and see where they go with Nick Aldis.I think you misunderstood me. The point I was making is that whatever stigma may be attached to a talent can be overcome if the talent is good enough. Aldis isn't good enough. It's not TNA's fault that he isn't good enough when his best asset is the name value he built up from being in TNA.
@TL15 there's no argument here guy @stro and I are at the same place we're just coming from different angles. I'm looking forward to where they go with this (which means Corgan and Lagana are doing a good job).

Yeah, it was in the description of one of the recent videos on YouTube. They specifically mentioned Aldis, Storm and Idol being in upcoming episodes. Not sure where the Idol connection is.

It's just with Storm it seemed there was a built in story arch and climax. He said that when he dropped the title this was it for him so I assumed we were gonna go through challengers until we found someone young or as fascinating as Tim was. You are right that this series has made us care about these guys who we didn't prior but I've been exposed to Aldis and a lot of fans have, he's accomplished but he's never had the fan support, nor hate. He likely gets belts for being a good reliable employee and safe worker.
