I dont mean like reaching prime Kobe skill-level and all that(off-note but...even though Melo's skillset is super underrated) but...
In due time I think he be the best SG in the league, so the closest thing we'll have. I just always felt like he had that potential.
shyt I use to want him on the Lakers.

But hey, everybody got they own opinion :manny:

The mutha****in BX
yes, hollins fukked him up some, he doesn't develop, or at least put players in the best positions to succeed.

but I don't think people here watched oj the last 2 years. his awareness sucked, no handles. he couldn't bring the ball up against eric bledsoe. broken J, even when teams packed the paint on z-bo and marc.

whether he becomes a good player or not, I honestly could care less. I'm glad he's off the squad.

If you look at Mayo's game his ceiling is probably more in line with Mitch Richmond...

I never saw him having Kobe's skillset or potential especially not on the defensive end...

Those were some wasted years in Memphis IMO.

He's a 20-22ppg SG once he hits his prime. Defensively he'll never be great, doesn't have the body type for that but he can do everything reasonably well.

 so you just believe everything he says
Stephen A is no Chris Broussard. When dude says he heard sht, he really did. Remember the Lebron to Miami sht? he called way before Chris Broussard highjacked that sht and acted like he(Broussard) broke the story :heh:

Actually Mayo is a good defender, he's just not atheletic enough.

I knew OJ wasn't reaching his potential coming off the bench in Memphis. He's not a superstar but he's capable of getting you 18-20 a night plus a few assists and couple of rebounds. At his best he will probably be a 20 5 and 5 player but i never saw him as a bench player. I think that messed his confidence and his game up more than anything.
