The funny thing is that we expected Free Speech to be more popular than HL just for the simple fact that you don't have to be respectful in it. FS is literally like if TLR had a current events\news wing. If more threads originated in FS, I would've wouldn't have to do anything on here but up threads and merge threads. And @61 Corpses FS is not a bushes section. I don't know why people want their post to be in the "main" section so much. No one in any of the other sub-forums complains about that.

Realistically, 30% of the posts that show up in HL on a given day should be in FS.

Not just that though, FS should be the more "fun" forum. Like @Broletariat's thread making fun of that Mitch McConnell campaign ad should have done numbers. I almost promoted it to the front page because the potential with that thread was limitless. HL = college classroom discussion, FS = smoking on the diag on 4\20 and politicking. Hell, maybe I should just amke that the description. A petition I could get behind is changing the name Free Speech (it's a placeholder name with negative connotations). We just never got good recommendations.

Edit: Half the people who have co-signed haven't even been people that i have @. So there goes the HL good ole boys network theory that its not HL posters who signed. A lot of people read this forum but don't post because of the "I'm better than you" attitudes of the HL regulars

HL lets posters post hate threads, hate speech in every thread, invalid arguments, non informational posts, calls for genocide, but a guy who just says nice things cant post? the haters can block him if they wish, but dont ban a guy for being nice

Link me to where we allow any of this. As entertaining as this thread is, Slaimon was literally posting 5 times per thread saying nothing. He reached a point where there were so many reports that we had to act.
