Nikon buying RED is the most random news ever. My first thought is Canon support is about to take a hit. RED has been going all in on the RF mount.

Anyone here using hard shell case for transporting equipment? How do you like it?

Can’t go wrong with pelican or Nanuk cases in general, any individual package w/ a cumulative weight exceeding 15 lb I’d get a rolling case.
The main reason you get those cases is for weatherproofing and drop protection. They’re preferred in film production for fragile stuff like field monitors, lenses, etc. and for heavier stuff that benefits from a rolling case.
Also, hard cases are the way to go if you’re traveling for work and need to check gear.
Pelican Cases became an absolutely necessity for me a few years ago. I have various sizes for different shoots. Hardly ever use a backpack any more.

yup thankfully my first wedding of 2024 and i just got the booking like 5 days previous.
Getting married next month and gotta pay a bride price
