I dont even care about the rumors for the upgrade but im looking forward to it because PSSR is already pretty good but im excited for the fact that it will get substantially better in the next 12 months

Would be really disappointing if it was a licensed IP (imo) don’t really want more first party marvel/disney stuff. Especially after hearing Totoki say sony needs more original IP

There is conflicting stuff being posted in that thread. Another source in that thread said the game was a new ip and is now saying otherwise. No one in that thread knows what the game will be.

its always been a new ip rumor but Jason Schrier is as reliable as they get, he really doesnt say things he's not 100% sure about

He has been wrong before. The statement could be saying anything though. Another reliable source in that thread said the game was 100% a new ip and are now switching up. Something drastically changed behind closed doors or neither knows what the game will be. I would be disappointed with a god of war spinoff, known ip being turned into a game. or an existing ip being developed. The PS5 needs new games exclusive to the system.

Sony finishing off the generation with a handful of new IP is what I prefer.
