New PS5 FW Beta rolling out tomorrow allowing DualSense pairing across multiple devices (PC/Mac/Mobile) up to 4 devices simultaneously https://buff.ly/fHhc99B

"Power Saver" feature also coming soon - supported PS5 games will scale back performance to allow PS5 to reduce its power consumption when enabled optionally. VR mode is unavailable when Power Saver is active and some gameplay features may be limited

I'd love for a new PASBR with those characters. The first one was decent, just lacked in a few areas that made the game feel a bit unpolished notably the UI and amount of content.

I feel like Sony shortchanged that game by giving it too small a budget. The core gameplay and hybrid IP levels were super dope, it just needed more presentation value and content like you said. You can’t give a new dev a AA budget and expect them to make a Smash killer

Yeah it was so weird how low budget it looked. A sequel developed today would have so much new content as a lot has changed since 2012. There's new characters from Playstation like Joel and Ellie, Aloy, Astrobot, and 3rd party characters should be obtainable now with Crash Bandicoot being third party as well as Snake.

Sony probably isn't going to go the handheld PC route like Xbox and make a Steam Deck / ROG Ally / Legion Go competitor that plays both PS and PC games - this will probably be another "walled garden" like the Switch 2 with a single storefront (a more traditional handheld, that works like a handheld console instead of a handheld PC).

I hope this means that this low power mode isn't a hard requirement for games to be compatible on the handheld because we've seen how unreliable third party devs are with updating their games to support new features that Sony rolls out (i.e. HDR, VRR, PSSR and Pro updates, etc). This is also only a concern for current gen games if the rumors of it being better performing than a Series S are true.
