For the Colts it was draft Luck or trade down. RGIII would've only made sense if they traded down to get him. For the amount of hype and value that pick had (what other teams would've been willing to give up to get Luck) it would've been retarded to draft RGIII #1 . ANd would've been difficult to trade down and ensure they'd still be able to get RG III.
