Lanning's placement in that program is as solid as it gets nationally, but I'd be raising the expectations for that dude in these big games starting in 2024. Got totally wallopped with how they came out in the PAC 12 CG, and coaching cost them the two regular season games against UDub in 2022-23. They had somewhat comparable skill position talent and way more talent in the trenches. To go 0-3 against Penix is something else.

Ehhhh so far he appears to be a hell of an upgrade at coach over Mario. Seems to bring a level of consistency there that he never did. We’ll see how they do going forward but they at least got their QB next year and for the future locked in.

We know the defense will be good.
