Picking early is goat. If you pick in the top 5 your Second and third round pick will be about as good as the 2nd round pick from guys picking at the end of round 1, but your cornerstone is Bron/Durant/kobe/rose/melo vs kawhi/rondo/Marc gasol/lance Stephenson/ demar etc.

I know LeBron and Durant haven't... I think you did with Dwight but you traded for him that time

The best players haven't usually picked in the top 5. I won 2 rings picking kobe top 5

This is a completely different situation though. Before we were running a franchise, so dudes drafted rookies with good potential and guys with low salaries for cap space flexibility.

We're only playing one season so potential and cap space don't matter....people are just gonna take the best player available. Good players with bad salaries or old players on be decline used to get passed up, leaving good talent for guys picking late. That won't happen this time

We also used 4-5 dummy teams so we were distributing talker across 25 teams instead of 30

I would add 12 legends, there are like 18 legit franchise quality current players in the pool

MJ, Magic, Bird, Dream, Wilt, Shaq, DRob, Oscar, Iverson, Dr. J, Jerry West, Penny, Glove, Mailman?

thats a list of 14 off the top to work off of
