It hurts so bad and I'm afraid. I try to avoid all these things. Especially, knowing that I NEED God more than ever right now for guidance, protection, vindication, and security. I literally have no one else to turn to or ask for any type of assistance.
Those fiery darts I've been catching lately hurts. It makes me angry as hell.

breh none of us are perfect, even in the bible it says The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked, and paul says we die daily. It's hard it's a struggle and I wish most churches and pastors wouldn't sugar coat especially in thsi generation.
I used to listen to rap all the time, used to be the breh getting that kay slay etc. tape as soon as it dropped, phone was filled with rap music, viewing rap videos, slowly ut surely I cut it out where I don't even listen to rap at all, not even christian rap.
Lust and porn is a battle man, its so easily available you watch tv its there, you go outside its there.
You gotta find a strong christian woman man, if you mingle with the women of the world they will have you in bed feeling down and out after the act.
And for porn its hard man ive battled with that and im battling with that, just gotta flee from temptation. some battles you just cant win and you gotta flee

I want us to use this thread for prayer requests also and please bring to our attention any prayer needs whether it be yourself or sick relatives or friends needing to be uplifted in prayer and myself and our other brothers and sisters will be happy to pray with you.
I have a friend that has a gentleman from his church who just lost a 25 year old son to gun violence. The suspect is still on the loose. The brother had to go to the morgue today to see his son's body. This hit so close to home for me because my family has dealt with gun violence and lost loved ones behind it. Please take some time to pray for the father and his family as they go thru this tragic event. May God bless you all

Two months strong
its not too late to any of you out here that want to take on this journey with us. We have to be living sacrifices for Jesus the same way that he did for us. We have to treat our bodies as living sacrifices. We have to fast and pray to grow our spirits and prove that spirit > flesh. We are not of this world.
I had a really great time at bible study yesterday. I look forward to church on Sunday. We have to prepare ourselves for the Lord my brothers and sisters. The work has already been done for us but now is our time to repay him. In Jesus Name Amen

in bible study yesterday we talked about the importance of fasting
I didn't really think much about fasting until you recently mentioned it in here. As described yesterday you fast to grow the spirit and deny the flesh. Fasting is the unequivocal method to get rid of addictions; prayer and fasting. Fasting provides clarity and strength. We need prayer and worship to rid the devil out of the atmosphere like we need mucinex and tylenol to rid viruses and colds out of our bodies.
Also remember that God deals with a Man's heart and not what a Man knows. Let God order your steps. Another reason you fast is to be able to decipher between God's voice and our own which is filled with selfish ambitions. Get quiet and listen. If you not in the spirit you are talking to yourself!
Another tip is to remember the commit/submit dynamic. When we commit we are saying "I" "I" "I"....When we submit we are letting God fight for us.
Ask yourself this when deciphering between God's voice and yours - Who benefits? Is it you only (selfish) or is it a benefit to the salvation of others?
A important tip in fighting the flesh is to remember to Stay connected to his word and his promises.
