I don't know about the rest of you in the thread, but I know when I face challenging times, it's easy to get so focused on the problem
I get hyperfocused on what I can do to solve it, instead of depending on God's strength and trusting his plan. If you're dealing with something similar, I'll pray for you
"Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" ~Jeremiah 17:5-9
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." ~Phillipians 4:6
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." ~John 15:4-5
Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." ~ Luke 5:31-32
None of us are perfect people, and Jesus doesn't expect that. He didn't come to die for the people who had it all together. He died for regular people like you and me, who fall short and mess up.
(That doesn't mean keep sinning like it's all good though
)
