It's not in her nature to do this but after going down a double break at 3-0 I was hoping Serena would tank the set and conserve her energy.

Tbh, I doubt it. Her mobility isn't great, but her returns are stellar. If she reduced her errors and nerves, she could easily glide into the finals.

I left tennis at 16-17 because of knee problems. The first rounds were fine, but those latter rounds require more energy from you and your injury only starts to feel worse. Also, you start to get mentally worrisome about hurting yourself again. She could easily run down some shots, but you don't wanna overextend yourself.
