This will probably do like Ant-Man type business which is great considering the lowered budget of $80M, but WB need to ramp up the marketing soon. Maybe if it does indeed have good WOM like people claim it will help too

Conventional wisdom is a movie needs to make ~twice its budget to break even. Depending on word of mouth, Shazam can probably do that within 1-2 weeks of release.

Either way, WB better ramp it up so Shazam! can make its money before Endgame sucks all the air out of the room.

Summer weekdays start kicking in in May. It’ll be fine if it’s good on it’s first two weekends and WOM is strong. It’s not occupying the same dramatic arena as Endgame. Sellouts for Endgame might even help as the second choice superhero movie.

Man of Steel still one of the greats

Man of Steel is always going to be one of the more contentious superhero movies. People can tell me they love it or they hate it and I think both positions are equally valid.

Personally, I still would put it below Wonder Woman and Aquaman as far as DCEU movies go, but it definitely is a cut above BvS, Justice League, and Suicide Squad.

Technically Aquaman is the only "post Synder" DC film that's been released and it still has ties to what Synder established.
