Yes they are!

I ride independents now...I used to ride ventures and destructo trucks for years...

well on my first setup on a my first pro style deck.
i ride a pair of indy159's
more than likely the bushing in them most complain about and switch out.
are the bushing that made it much easier than my crusier to learned to pump and carve the little i can do.

QUESTION: are ventures and destructo's as turny as indy's with stock bushings?
plus, what are the differences and which do you like better?

first off, i never said i wasn't into contest. i'm just not into street league. i don't like the setup and the scoring system.

thrasher's wallenberg contest was pretty cool.



i'm just not into street league. get over it. nothing you type is going to change my opinion on that. if you're into it then good for you.

this vid is just big air,....

sls has a big air portion and you have to qualify for.
by showcasing your other skills first.

so, you can't just be a guy who concentrates on just big air down steps and railings.
you have to also have the skills to get to that part.

i don't think you even watched street league.
you are full of shyt, breh.

and street league doesn't have much transition skating either. it's favors guys who excel at mostly gap and rail skating.

someone like grant taylor would be more skilled in a bowl contest than someone like p-rod (who doesn't really skate bowls) while p-rod would be more skilled in a street skating competition. they're just different contest for different skillsets.

some friends at the skate shop was discussing this the other day. if not this year i def see him as the front runner after chronicles drops next year.

The entire premise of SLS is that it's set up and scoring system are as realistic to actual skating as possible...because scoring in most contests don't mesh well with actual street skating.

The contest at Wallenberg, is literally the same set up as SLS Big Section. the only difference is that instead of seeing scores on a scoreboard, people are just keeping track in their heads

the reason you don't like it, because it's on TV, has big name sponsors and packaged for an audience that probably doesn't know too much about skating to digest.

the same dudes who skate SLS, have stomped monster tricks down Wallenberg

in SLS they only count the top four scores per obstacle out of 6 tries and skaters skate in sequential order one by one. in the wallenberg contest it's a jam session where you have a clock that runs down and you can get as many tries as you can get in that time and they just count what you land and who ever landed overall the craziest shyt wins.

i like that format better because it's just guys going for it trying all kinds of crazy shyt not worrying if they bail, while in SLS pros at times play it safe to just get the points they need because 3 bails basically ruins your chances.

i guess i like the mayhem and the randomness of it. it's just a preference for me.

the big name sponsors doesn't bother me. i like that nyjah can make stupid money for winning and support him and his family.

I never got into skateboarding myself. I brought a longboard 2 years ago that I used once, plus I was a fool with the sticks on Tony Hawk underground 2 with the moon gravity cheat enabled back in my day
